Anyone wanting to help out, can give their names to Roy Meiireke on the carnival grounds or can call him at 2506-J. br&te and then on Monday they again Celebrated not billy their anniversary but also Berniece's birthday and they .did this by going out to a very nice place for dinner. They received many beautiful gifts among them a barbecue wagon which they initiated rear quick with thick juicy steaks. A grand time was had by all and especially their little grandson, Scott. In fact he had such a good time he decided to stay on with grandma and grandpa until this coming Tuesday at which time he will be returned home to his mom and dad and baby sister, Melody. Women's Club The Women's club will hold p bake sale on the carnival grounds on Friday night. June 27. Please bring alllbake goods to the girls who contacted you or to Mrs. Shirley Ozog at 217 Meadow Lane or to Mrs. Josephine Rizzo at 323 Home avenue before 3 p.m. Friday. Please place all bake goods on paper plates and also try to haye them wrapped in saranwrap as this will make the job of carrying and pricing the merchandise a lot easier for • the girls who are in charge of this. Come on out and make your purchase as I amk sure you will find there, will be a. lot of goodies there to choose from as we have a lot of very good bakers in our community as we have experienced from our past bake sales. This is the first project on the agenda for our hew ways and means committee this year, so let's start them out with a real hig bang by both baking and buying. Teen-Club The 'Teen club will again have a booth at the carnival this year, so let's all try to help them out as much as possible too as they are a grand bufich of kids. By the way this cliib will have their meetings every two weeks during the Magic Show The following letter was received by the treasurer of the LPPOA, Mrs. Helen Strandquist: "Here is tKe money for the community house from the magic show. My helpers were Jimmy Hansen, Phillip Bucaro, Raymond Barle, Diane Krater and starring Billy Krater. Total earned 72c. Five cents of this was earned by me for ijunning an errand." This was then signed by Billy Krater. Thanks loads kids, we all think you are just wonderful. Ken and Bqntiiece' Boyce, Bill and Ldis Kohl and Bud and Dorothy Utticli GJen and Irene Uhles and Rajr and Virginia Grote were unable to attend. Sub-Teen Club There will be no meetings of this club during the months of July and August but there will be a campaign during these months to get as many new members as possible when the meetings resume in September. The ages for this club are from 11 to 14 so all in this age group try to join when you are approached for membership. Injured Kenny Laurence, son of Mr. and Mrs. Bernie Laurence, injured his foot at one of the beaches and had to be on crutches for a while but now the. foot is all better and he has left for his vacation up to northern Wisconsin With his grandmother and grandfather, Mr. and Mrs. Martin Nimeth of Chicago. Bridge Club * The fridge club consisting of Ann Kerzog, Ivy Lezak, Alice Quaiver, Pearl Reinhardt, Louise McEnery, Jean Meyer, Berniece Boyce, Ann Leigh' and Dorothy Uttich went out to dinner and I understand they were really all dolled up. Mink stoles, large hats .and chemise dresses took first place. The one bridge club member unable to attend was Mrs. Marge Dent. They also had with them Happy Birthday , to little Katy Uttich, who celebrated her first birthday with the traditional one candle birthday cake for herself and her family. Pam Laurence Celebrated hers on Wednesday; June 18. To help her eelebate her ninth birthday were Susie Laurence, Sharon Leigh, Linda and Maureen Linnane. To Jean Mahoney who celebrated her eighth birthday by having to spend the day in bed because she was running a temperature. Shafee Lynn Holaf celebrated her first birthday on Thursday, JUne 19.
