Our offer to plan her vacation for her was turned down--flat! She had better be good to us. We found out she had a birthday this week. And we know which one! Not being a member in good •standing in the hikers' club this season, we have had to pass "up some sports events. Thanks* to James Lennon, we were able to see the Milwaukee Braves without having to travel far under our own power. The Braves lacked the fire we saw in them las^ year, •but may bounce back. Woodstock scored in the second when Brown singled and scored on Schultz's hit after a walk to Bentson, the pitcher. --They added another in the third as Leanna singled, stole second, and scored on Brown's second consecutive hit. Creutz walked to fill the bases and Schaefer's free pass forced in the tying run. This prompted Lanny Brasile's arrival to the mound and the tricky lefty struck out Roti and Brady to end the threat. This ended an inning which saw one hit, 5 'walks, and 3 strikeouts.
