Altman who spent a few days of their vacation the last week of July visiting Carol's mom and dad, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Wiley, in Loftant, 111. Evening,Out Friday, night Mrs. Elaine Jett, had the gals over at' her house for ice-cream sodas and later on coffee and cake and cheese and crackers. The following girls were there indulging in all these calories: Lee. Glorch. Dotty Becker, Marge Franklin and myself. The Squares met down at the beach on Saturday, Aug. 2 with singing and merriment around the camp fire. They barbecued steaks, hamburgers and hotdogs. Outside guests, not members of the squares, were Mr. and Mrs. J. Stanek and Mr. and Mrs. Dietz.. , Boy Scouts Jimmy Quaiver and Kenny Owens were among the boys who left on a two-week camping trip in Oregon, with their Boy Scout troop. x Vacationing , at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Laursen for the .past two weeks has been Gayle's sister, Miss Karen Thoresen of Chicago. Later in the evening Lee's pals, Elaine Jett, Marge Franklin, Dorothy Humphreys and yours truly, dropped in for a visit. Music reached their ears coming from the backyard -and barbecue stones were there so Ed went out and purchased marshmallows and the gals gathered around toasting and eating them under the shining moon. This is one part of the evening I missed out on as my Jiusband said he would hot be home til! 10 so I took advantage of the evening and .Service Deluxe One day last week two of our farm gals went to purchase milk from the farmer on Ringwood road and finding the farmer out they waited awhile and then along came a man also looking for the farmer and after waiting around for a few minutes he said he would be glad to give them the milk and upon leaving the girls were real polite and wanted to know the man's name so they could thank h>m real proper like and he said his name was George Freund.
