She was Irorn at Memorial hospital, Woodstock. This is the fir^t grandchild for the paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Sam Deskis of the village, and for the maternal grandparents, iMr. and Mrs. Walter Wollak of Lilymoor. The entire Nersted family, Pate, Pearl, Karen, and Rickie have changed, their address from their home on East Lane to Florence, Ala. Pete changed jobs some weeks ago, and was fortunate to discover wonderful living quarters for his family. . They' acquired a lovely six room, brick ranch home, complete with carport--well out in the country. According to a late bulletih, they have a stream behind their house, almost the size of the Fox River! Sounds, divine!! While the change was being made, the two Nersted children were living it up in Wisconsin, with their grandparents and Pearl stayed in Chicago. Last Friday, Pete came up, rented a truck, aind made arrangements to transport his furniture to the new abode. Good friend, Bill Reid, went along on the return southern trip and was scheduied to come h6me on Tuesday. Naturally, Jean and the kids missed daddy during his absence. ^Pearl was reluctant to leave her many chums in the community, but for her sake, we hope there will pe enough compensations. Too many violations of drivers not stopping at the STOP signs before entering the blacktop have been reported. As a result, tickets will be handed out and violators will be fined. Trip To "Tessie" and Will Schijltz treated cousin, Ludwig Heskje, to an almost 400 mile trip Saturday which took in scenic wonders along the River and the White Pines State Park near Oregon. The engineering marvel of, the locks were especially fascinating to Ludwig who will soon be returning to his, native Norway. In his year in this country, Ludwig has covered njore ground than do most native Americans in a lifetime. Great Day For Twins : In hopor of their second birthday. Mr. and Mrs. Alfons Oberhuber gave a large type birth?, day -party for twin daughters, Christine and Ermgard on July 31. It was a festive affair held in the yard and included Wilma and Roy Zody, Mr. and Mrs. Willard Schultz, Mr. arjd Mrs. Carl Betts of Ringwood, Mrs. Delroy Kauki, Gloria Urtteidf and daughter, and Mrs. J. Loeschel. Needless to say, the young ladies received iha|iy beautiful gifts which enlarged their wardrobe. VAIl The Rage Are the outdoor cook-buts which have proved so popular with the younger set. Miss Carol Aalto, who. was petite il on Monday, Aug. 11, invited her chums Nancy Morris, Bonnie Burg, Dawn Parenti, and Darlene Palis to enjoy hamburgers, potato chips, candy, rake, 'n' ice cream at her home yesterday, Wednesday, Aug. 43 which was mama Virginia's day home from Work. Residents of the village who axe members of Nativity Lutheran church, Wonder Lake--or who make this their place of worship are invited to the congregational dinner in the American Legion hall, McHenry on Tuesday, Aug. 19 commencing at 7 p.m. It will be an evening of fellowship and inspiration for all who attend.
