Wedding Vows Repeated The - home of Mrs. Gladys Hollenbach was the scene of a small but beautiful ceremony which united Miss Janice Mary Hollenbach, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Hollenbach, and Richard Gehrig in marriage. Mrs. Gladys Hollenbach acted as matron of honor for her niece while the best man's role was taken ty William Banks. HERE 'AND THERE IN BUSINESS UNVEIL DAIRlf EQUIPMENT The Craft Manufacturing company of North Chicago, makers of bulk milk cooleris, took the wraps off of. their newest creationl Sani-Vac, at a press, conference held recently at the company Offices on North Davis street. Craf^president is A, A. (Tony) Varese of McHenry. Attending the conference were farm editors, public health officials and dairy sanitarians, all of whom expressed the belief that this new milk transfer unit was the biggest step forward since the bulk milk cooler. They agreed it would practically eliminate all outside contamination. Thus its widespread use would mean higher quality milk on the table. Lakemoor - Greet Travelers Returning 'Home by Mairion Sulok--592-R-l Friends, and neighbors gathered at the John Hose home on Sunday evening to Welcome home Mrs. Hose and daughter, Christine from a three months visit with relatives in Germany. An enjoyable time was had in Europe but Lakemoor looked the best when the welcome mat was - put out with all close friends to greet them as they returned. Mrs. Hose and Christine report that the weather was very cool and that the living conditions have changed considerably since their family came to this country five years ago. Friends and neighbors surprised Mrs. Hose by having dinner ready to serve upon their arrival and also a gift that Anne will, not forget for sometime. NEW APPRAISAL STANDARDS STUDIED BY LOAN GROUPS Directors and secretary-treasurers of national farm loan associations in northern Illinois met in LaSalle recently. Thursday night when Roy Morrison came over and showed us three films, one on Russia, another .on sports, and still another about Woody Woodpecker. Mr. M-o r r i s o n made a promise to bring his new projector down to future meetings. Tjfie second surprise was Mr. Gibson who gave the boys a number of interesting pointers oh the use and care of firearms. The boys were thoroughly^, delighted with Mr. Gibson's demonstration. Mr. Gibson promised to give further instruction and also give the boys a chance to fire some rounds on 'an official target range. The future troop activities include many such experiences of this sort for the boys. There will also be an opportunity for the boys to take an official Red Cross first aid course iri the very near future. Last Thursday we were honored to bave in addition to our standard adult help, Mr. Sulok, Mr. Beahler and of course Mr. Morrison and Mr. Gibson at the troop meeting. Last Saturday four adults from t^e troop attended the council training program, for the scouters down at Camp Lowden. They were Mr. Beahler, Mr. Para, Mr. Lubke and Mr. Todd.o They w e r e i n s t r u c t e d i n s i m p l e scoutcraft and hoW to get the point across lo the boys. * The program also included a cookout for the men. A fine council fire program concluded the day of training. The green bar. patrol of the troop will plan a camping trip for the boys to take next weekend. The girls j are working on the display they will -enter for the scout fair which will be held at the American Legion Hall on Oct. 26. ' .
