A pretty fall wedding took p'ace last Saturday afternoon, Oct. 18, at 3 o'clock when Miss Marilyn Benson became the bride of Mr. Thomas J. Adams. The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Hazel Benson of Barrington and the groom is the son,of Mr. and Mrs. Alex Adams of Courf street, McHenry. Rev. Fr. Alexander Thane officiated at the double ring service, performed in St. Anne's Catholic church,- Barrington, wh'ch was decorated with bouquets of white glads and mums. The attractive bride was charming in a chantilly lace d?-ess over bridal satin, styled w'th fitted bodice, sequin trimmed at the neck, long tapered sleeves and a chapel length train. Her fingertip veil fell from a pearl tiara and she carried a white orchid, roses and stephanolis. Mrs. Phyllis Trychta of Island Lake, a close friend, acted as matron of honor and bridesmaids were Miss Jean Benson, the bride's sister, and Miss Shirley Rice, a friend, both of Barrington, and Miss Janice Thill of Aurora, cousin of the groom. They were attired similarly in gowns of turquoise, styled with scoop necklines and pleated skirts. They wore matching headpieces and had pink carnation bouquets. Little Kay Ann Wenzel of Carpentersville was" the pretty flower girl, wearing a short white dress, and Jack Thennes, cousin of the groom of McHenry, was ring bearer. Merle Freund of McHenry serv ed as best man and groomsmen were David Norlock and Kenneth Diedrich, cousin of the groom, both of this area, and John Benson of Barrington. Oh a rl e s, Tony an and Charles Blake were ushers. Mrs. Benson selected a light blue lade dress over taffeta, pink accessories and a pink sweetheart rose corsage. Mrs. Adams was attired in a Royil blue,dress, matching accessories and had a yellow sweetheart rose corsage. A reception followed the wedding for 300 guests at the Legion home, after which the coup'e left on a trip to Niagara Falls. Upon their return, they will reside at 312 Maple street in McHenry. The bride is a 1957 graduate of the Barringtoivhigh school and has been employed as a bookkeeper, at the National bank in that city. The groom graduated in 1954 from the McHenry high school, has completed his military service and is now employed by the telephone company. PREPARE SEAL LETTERS $lrs. Stanley Chapman. Schroeder was grant-. ed his request for re-classification from farming to residential land adjacent to Highland Shores on the west' side of Wonder Lake. Peter arid Freda Reiland were granted a request pertaining to three pieces of land near the north shore of Griswold l ake and adjacent to Holiday Hills subdivision in Nunria township. One parcel was rezoned from farming to community business. A variation was granted for a period of seven years on the second to permit storage of heavy machinery and equipment. The third parcel was reclassified to business. A petition submitted by the Chicago Title and Trust company was approved with the reclassification of a strip of land along Griswold Lake road and adjacent to Holiday Hills for community business to permit the operation of a sundry or variety store.
