Following this Hoy Morrison will show five very interesting films. Everyone is invited to join the boy scouts in watching these films. So for an evening ouL come to the boy scout mating and enjoy yourselves. This last Saturday seven of our boy scouts journeyed to Chicago to the Science , and Industry building to learn many things and give the boys many ideas. The trip was enjoyed by the boys that attended and will again soon make some other trip, to the big city to gain more knowlege of the tWjfes in life. Girl Scouts The adult Girl Scout Christmas party is going to be held in McHenry on Dec. 10. Any of the troop committee who would like to attend please contact Mrs. Pat Morrison. Lilymoor Arc Angels Hold Meeting by Sharon Counley The Arc Angels held their Nov. 25 meeting , at Laurel Hueckstaedt's home. Hie refreshments served were pop, potato chips and cup cakes. The girls discussed their Christmas plans and the giving of Christmas presents. The girls who attended were Sharon Counley, Laurel Hueckstaedt, Sara Maher. Rose Ann Brzezinski, Nancy Ehrhardt, Judi Vacondio and Laura, Belford. Mrs. Agnes Simmons, after having another bout with her sickness, is again home but must take it very easy for sometime* Miss Nancy Chadwich, daughter of Mrs. Herbert Brossman, is up and around again after having surgery performed in a Chicago hospital last week. ^fcoNSTRITCTION BIDS The state Division of High- j ways has received bids on construction and related projects in 53 counties^ throughout Illinois in connection with Gov. William G. Stratton's 1958 road j program. The bid letting was the last of eight regularly scheduled for, the 1958 construction program. Director E. A. Ros-, en^one of the Department of Public Works and Buildings said that highway engineers estimate the value of the various projects at about $25,000,- 000. Projects on which bids were received include McHenry county. The Svobodas were holding open house as a dual celebration partly on behalf of Fred's birthday and partly for the remodeling of their home. Little Gary Leske was 6ne year old on Thanksgiving day. Sixteen people were at the Leskes to join in on the festivities. Gary received many nice gifts. Our girls will model their very first handmade clothing, and we hope all of our parents will attend. Thanksgiving dinner. Some of those I heard about are that the Ben Busches had dinner with their son, Leon and family; the Chester Stevens' home had a gathering of sons and daughters and grandchildren; Art and Emma Kattner and Jeanie had dinner with the Bill Mays in Johnsburg; Hank and Ad Zeiger and boys of Sunnyside Estates spent the day with the John McGoverns; Mr. and Mrs. William Shotliff and Alice Wagner went to the Ted Shotliffs for dinner; Frieda and Conrad Aschaker had dinner with her sister, Martha and husband, Werner, in Kenosha; the Tinneys were entertained in the Charles Freund home at night. Accident Elmer Smith had the misfortune of losing the tips of two • fingers last week when his hand got caught in some farm machinery. Fall Festival The fall festival at St. Peter's on Monday night was well attended. NEW PLANTS Gov. William G. Stratton said that during September and October more than 29 new industrial plants have located or announced they will locate in Illinois. The governor added that 14 companies announced plant expansions during this, same period. He stated that the Division of Industrial Planning and Development had also received 33 inquiries during these two months from industrial firms which have shown interest in locating in the state.
