Enjoying themselves were Myrtle Bentz - Lorraine Erdmann, Marilyn VanZ^vern, Joyce*4 Heir, Terry Prmgsten. Joan Ziligen, Audrey MisaVice, Vi Johnson and Gerry Moore, Marcia Dowd will have the next party at her home next Tuesday. Tuesday afternoon, Mary Seldon, a newcomer to our subdivision, is having a demonstration and k o f f e e klutch for the Women's club. All her neighbors are invited for a good time. The next meeting wi.il be our Christmas party which will be held on Dec. 17. Please bring a 50 cent grab bag prize. See" you there. Eddie and Marcia Dowd had a terrific time at Delia and Bob Wesselinks' Saturday nijght. Both Barb and Marie Schlick claim that Mr. Moore is the best window smasher available. What? 'Teen Club McHenry high have won their first three basketball games with big Don Bentz playing. The wrestlers had a match Tuesday evening. Sunday, Lo}a DuPree and Delores Formella attended open house at St. Therese's hospital. On Saturday, Barb Schlick will attend an open house at Evanston hospital. This is for girls interested in nurses training. For the Christmas program at school Barb Schlick and Delores Formella will sing a duet. More 'teens in the mass choir are Pat Rzychoia, Betty Estbrook. Kirk Merley arid Bruce Novak. Pat Johnson and Bob Beamer are additional members in the cast of the play. A 'teen club executive meeting was held Dec. 1. Details of the meeting will be published in the next issue. Turkey Gobblers Betty and Milt Sandelin spent Thanksgivingr with Betty's mother in the city, and came home well fed and had an enjoyable day to say the least. Jack and Dot Erbin . along with the kiddies enjoyed the company of George and Marilyn Lammert and sons for. Thanksgiving dinner. We hear they all had their share of tui'key. Dud and Dee Gregg and their children plus the grandparents got out of doing all those dirty disffes by going out to eat in a very nice restaurant. The Rodges enjoyed the company of their thr"ee children for holiday. Pat and Roger came in from Chicago and Roger brought along a boy friend. Haze and Dick Morley and l>oys were dinner guests at grandmother's home and in the evening they visited grandparents Morley in Round Lake Park' Mr. and Mrs. Ray Madock had their family together for Thanksgiving dinner. Their son Dick and his family and daughter, Marilyn V&nZevern and her family. Also present were Mrs. Madock's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Dennis of Pistakee Bay. With five grandsons present things didn't have a chance to get too dull. The Brownies are being kept busy, they are looking forward to the children's Christmas party where they will give a little program. Kay and Wally Sielisch spent last Saturday shopping in Wausome of us can make sure he gets a card of cheer. A, surprise shower was held on Nov. 25 for Brownie Leader, Lee Conway. Given for Mrs. Conway by the girls in her troop, they all enjoyed cake, ice cream and pop at Mrs. Erbin's home, also a Brownie L^&dey. The girls presented Mrs. Conway with some very nice gifts for the baby soon to be. Welcome to Norman and Pat Pederson and their little son, Glen, who have moved into their new home'on Henry Terrace. Progressive card parties have been quite the rage lately. Meryl Fletcher had one in her ^iome on Nov. 25. The girls enjoyed the refreshments and last Tuesday evening more card sharks met at Marcia Dowd's home for another session: If our column seems shorter, it is. We just haven't been getting as much news as usual. If anyone has any we will be more than happy to jot it down and see that it gets in the paper. See you next week. Many Highlanders enjoyed dinner at. the Moose Lodge in Woodstock Sunday afternoon. 'Welcome to new members, Eddie Dowd, Dick Maddock and Norb Lewandowski. The Spankuchs went to a turkey farm Sunday just to get in the groove for Thanksgiving. Marie Schlick really had a family get-together Monday, when her mother and father from California both her brothers and their families, dropped in for lunch. Eddie and Marcia Dowd served Thanksgiving dinner to Maricia's folks, and two of her aunts and uncles. Trouble was, everyone ate too much! Thursday the Spankuchs- had dinner in Chicago and Friday Toots persuaded Lou to take her to see a show. Betty and Milt Sandelin, George and Darlene Neesan, Carla and Jimmy Bales and bor mixed up and going there they wound up irj Wisconsin and on the way home Wally was very much surprised to find himself at Fort Sheridan. Anyway Kay did manage to get a nice red car coat out of all the confusion. Farewell to the Barons of Ann street. They have sold their home and moved last Saturday into their new home in Arlington Heights.
