There were about ten couples at the d*nce. chaperoned by the Sea Scout committee. Later in the evening, refreshments were served. Wednesday evening the boys attended a first aid meet held in Crystal Lake. This Saturday and Sunctoy the boys will have their winter camp out. The whole unit is going to Huntley. Ken Thoren, Ricky Hawk and Bob Fletcher. Tuesday night the Johnsburg Rescue Squad explained the workings of all the different equipment that is in the ambulance. This is a subject the boys are all very interested' in. are encouraged to turn out for this as it will be discontinued for the summer in about another mbnth. We have been asked by some of the residents when we will have another barn dance. Plans are in the making and we may possibly have it in about one month. A juke box was donated to the 'teen cllib. We have been asked by Mrs. Gert Barbian, .chairman, of the. , McHenry chapter of the Red Cross, to canvass Pistakee Highlands for donations. When you see one of our smiling faces at your door this week, you know we are doing our share for a worthy cause. A St. Patrick's pay dance was the big social event last week. A great time was had at the Johnsburg gym Monday night. The girls played some invited guests in a game of basketball. The boys played the men from the subdivision. Board Meeting The village board of Spring Grove held a special meeting on Tuesday to adopt zoning ordinances for the village of Spring Grove. These ordinances will not be in entirety with county zoning laws but will be based on couAty zoning laws. GIRL SCOUTS SENIOR ^IRLS SCOUTS ' The Senior Scout troop held its meeting earlier this month Gail Johnson told us about helping at the old people's home. She spurred the girls' interest and Janet Gardner, Alice Granger, Betsy Kauss, Paule Granger, Judy Watson and Barbara Krickl volunteered to go on March 15. Mrs. Gardner furnished transportation. Barbara Krickl told us about J bership cards, International Girl Scouting as a part of our requirements. The members who went to the Girl Scout rally at Crystal Lake on March 8 said that it was really interesting and fun.
