T. Watkins, of Orchard Beach, McHenry, has been initiated into Epsilon chapter of Delta Delta Delta at Knox college. "PLACEMENT DAY" Marvin C. Martin, principal of the McHenry "nigh school, is shown at the fourth annual University of Illinois "Teacher Placement Day" held recently. The university's office of teacher placement set up interviews for nearly 150 school administrators \vith prospective teachers in all areas. About 350 students attended the interview program in the Illini Union ballroom. HOLD DEANERY INSTITUTE AT WONDER LAKE The McHenry Deanery institute will take place on Thursday, April 16, at Christ the King school hall in Wonder Lake 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Miss Nora LeTournea'u, field secretary of the National Council of Catholic Women, will be guest speaker. Her subject will be "Leadership." Miss LeTourneau is a graduate of St. Benedict college at St. Joseph. Minn. She is a licensed attorney with a degree from DePaul university in Chicago and a master of arts degree in social science from Catholic university in Washington, D. C. In 1950 Miss LeTourneau was given the family Catholic action award by the National Council of Catholic Women. She was elected to the hall of fame of the College of St. Benedict in recognition of the outstanding way in which she has made Christian principles operate in society. All Catholic women in McHenry county are urged to attend and to bring a nose bag lunch. Coffee and dessert will be served by the Altar and Rosary sodality of Christ the King church. A bake sale will be held at St. Mary's school hall in McHenry Sunday, April 12, sponsored by the McHenry Deanery council of Catholic women. Proceeds of this bake sale will be donated to the Newman foundation at Northern Illinois university. The foundation provides facilities for the spiritual and intellectual development of 1.700 Catholic students at Northern which is located in DeKalb.
