Home Bureau News Homemakers from all parts of McHenry County demonstrated convincingly, that even a ladies' picnic can be fun. This was the annual Home Bureau spring picnic held in Woodstock on Friday, May 1. A white elephant sale was first on the agenda, followed by a pot-luck lunch. Afterwards the group participated in games and singing, while colorful slides of Europe offered a passport to another world. The trip was most pleasant and instructive. Farm Visit A big treat was in store for the kindergarten class iast week when they visited one of the neighboring farms. Much ot their delight, they were allowed to view the animals closeup. Children of Sunnyside Estates who enjoyed the experience were Donna Noah, Laurie Smolinski, Tommy try and Johnny Lakowske. er, Harry and his family. (You may remember, he was the one they almost didn't see last year when he was up here, let's hope they get together with a little less confusion this time). While there they will try to scoot over to Mexico for a "peek" as Polly put it. Another place of interest along the way will be the French Quarter in New Orleans, which Jim is very anxious for Polly to see. Next will be a visit to other relatives in Birmingham, Ala., then on to more kin and friends in Nashville, Term. They plan to be gone the better part of the month and should have a glorious time. Birthdays A haRpy birthday wish tomorrow "(Friday) to Millie Morresi and Bud Kennebeck. The only little birthday celebrant of the week, and she is a little one, Karen Hanahan, who will be one year old on May 10. Along with Karen on that day we will, see Don Gerstein and Jack Kelso putting another year behind them. Happy birthday all.
