Over the weekend Marilyn and Bob VanZevern and Ray and Lavern Madock attended the twenty-fifth wedding anniversary party of a cousin of Mrs. Madock's in Chicago. On June 17. Bev Lewandowski. Jane Malek, Mary Madock, Marilyn VanZevern and a total "of thirteen children spent the day at the zoo in Racine. They had quite a day and came home | quietly in their home sans fan- Bell school in Chicago. Barbara is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Wilson of Thelen Drive. Mr. Wilson known as "Skip" to everyone is the treasurer of the association, Mrs. Wilson i is very active in the Highlands. Here and There After returning from De- Kalb, Hazel Rogde brought along about fifteen members of her family for a picnic at her home. It seems Hazel had quite a time visiting in Kentucky and DeKalb and she hated to leave her family so she brought them along with her. Several people had their flags up for the mailman to take the mail, and the children had taken, all of it from the boxes and were playing with it. Marie went to Chicago for the funeral on Tuesday, Bill and Marie Schlick celebrated their twentieth wedding anniversary June 28, Bill took Marie out to dinner while Barb brought in the food and guests for a surprise party for them. Banana Firecrackers 1 package strawberry, cherry or raspberry gelatin 1 cup hot water .. % Cup cold water 2 ripe bananas 4 (6 oz.) empty cans Dissolve gelatin in hot water. Stir in cold water. Chill until slightly thickened. Place 1 ta-& blespoon of gelatin in bottom of each can. Peel bananas. Cut crosswise in half. Place in center of each can. Fill cans with remaining gelatin. Chill ujtitil firm. Just before serving, linmold by dipping cans jusVto the rim in hot water for 1 or 2 seconds. Shake slightly tp loosen gelatin. Cover with plate. Invert plate and can together or carefully slide gelatin out on to plate. Lift off can. Serve with plain or whipped cream. Makes 4 servings.
