A pot-luck supper was served. Worship and program leaders were Doris Low, Alice Peet and Rose Walkington. Barn Burns The big barn on the former Charles Carr farm burned to the ground Friday night. The owners, Mr. and Mrs. Asbaugh, were in Chicago at the time. The cause of the fire is unknown. Home Circle vHome Circle enjoyed Jmner at Hebron Thursday and then went to Rig Foot Park where they held their annual meeting. New officers for the coming years are president, Anna Shadle; vice-president, Pearl Berg; secretary. Flora Carr and treasurer, Belva Sebastian. Sick List Mrs. Charles Uhl has been very illl\^wviitt h strep sore throat. Baptized Francis Edward Mullen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Mullen. was baptized at St. Mary's church in McHenry Sunday. Carpentier today announced the Drivers License Division of his office has rescinded the revocation of the license of Harry N. Bryant, Route 1, Algonquin. This action was based upon information received from the Chicago Municipal court, showing that a bond forfeiture for the offense of. driving while intoxicated has been vacated and trial has been set for Nov. 19. Therefore, there is not sufficient basis for ft revocation. Among other guests at the celebration was Mrs. Stanley Hlavaceck, Mrs. Brady's mother. September Village Meeting In the absence of Claude F. McDermott at the village meeting Sept. 10, John Bonder, trusteee, presided. A motion was passed to proceed with the road program. It was decided that grading operations would Start as soon as possible. Chief of Police Krauss was asked why he did not comply with the village board's motion, at the August meeting, directing him to send ticket complaints to our local J. P., Mr. Brady. Mr. Krauss replied that he takes his orders from no one but the village president until advised otherwise. The village attorney advised chief Krauss to obey the motion of the board. A motion was made to hold a special meeting of the village on Thursday, Sept. 24.
