The chairmen of 'the dinner committee, Joe and S h i r l e y Zahn, worked hard with their committee: Mr. and Mrs^ Frank Davenport; Mr. and Mrs. Frank Stetson; Mr. and Mrs. Walter Ulick; Mr. and Mrs. Chuck Warning; Miss Chris Nelsen; Norm Atkinson and Paul Janensch to prepare a delicious; roast beef dinner with all the trimmings for a large crowd of hungry sailors, crews; wives, and social members. After wining and dining there was music and dancing, finishing off a very successful opening party. In addition to the party season, P.Y.C. has also started its sailing season with the assembly gun's bang. On May 14 was the first race of our Chinook series. This is the second ytear this early spring series has been held, and we have had quite a large turnout^ of boats. Besides ten of our own boats, we have two boats sailing with us from Lake Geneva, and one from Long Lake. June 5 Jerry Schloemer, skipper, was the winner with his brother, Ron, following in second and Norm Reese in third. This year P.Y.C. has started two other new fleets. Prior to this year we've been racing only C boats, now we have three E boats, which are larger than C ' s , and e i g h t Cub boats, which are smaller than C's, and can be sailed only by those of 16 years or younger. These new additions are broadening our experience in sailing, and helping to make our club a family club enjoyed by all ages.
