Lil\ Lalio was the scene of an accident Sunday, July 3.. when Mary Dunn fell from the hike she wis riding and broke her knee-cap. .She was taken into the McHenry hospital and was confined there for a week. Miss Dunn had been out here for the weekend to visit her sister, Mrs. Robert Tobias. The accident occurred when the i bike she was* riding hit one of the ruts in the road and threw ' Miss Dunn from it. She will be .recuperating at the Tobias homo for the next few weeks. Mrs. Para's, sisfer- in'Maw, Jean Dember, will go along on the trip. We hope that they will enjoy their stay. While Mrs. Para is away, Mr. Para will take the boy scouts to Camp Lowden; neat- Oregon.* I am sure they will enjoy the week of camping out. living in the wilds of the camp. Mrs. L. Booster, was on vacation last week and spent some time in Chicago. The time for relaxation is over now and it's back to work for her. Too bad it wasn't longer. Girl Scout Camp beckons two c.f our young ladies. They are Katherine Brzezinski and Pat Morrison. The girls will be at the Chapman Hill Girl Scout camp, outside East Troy, Wis. July 13. there was a village meeting for the purpose of accepting bids for the work on the roads. This work will start very soon and will be greatly appreciated. It is being held at the fire house An Evanston man. John Miller. was fined $10 for disobeying a stop sign. Rohert Nabors of McHenry received a $20 fine for disturbing the peace by driving with noisy mufflers. Police were called to Main Coin Wash last week at 2 o'clock in the morning, when a man was reported causing a disturbance.
