The working party is requested to report to Bill Walter, chairman, at 8 a.m. Saturday. Orchard Drive will be closed along the lakefroht all day on Saturday. Mrs. Jim Carroll will be in ch£ge of the kitchen and .will have a capable crew assisting her.. Merchandise (anything usable worth at least 25 cents) for the "white elephant" sale may be brought to the home of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Zody of 634 Park View West between now and Saturday. Donations for the bale sale including pies, cakes, home-made bread (lots offlthis, please!), do-nuts, fudge, and cookies may be brought to the beach all day, because this will be a continuous sale. The bike parade for little fellows, 2-12 years, under the guidance of Mrs. Verna Schlofner will kick off the special events department at 2 p.m. If possible, contestants should pu^in an appearance 15 minutSr earlier. At 4 p.m., Mrs. Theresa Schultz will lead her little girls in the 2-10 year ace bracket out on to the basketball court for the judging of this event. Highlight of the evening will come when Miss Teresa Dason, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Dason and last year's wiaper. will place the coveted goln sequin crown on the head of this year's charmer. She will be the little lady who besl exemplifies Miss McCullom Lake, and will be presented with a floral bouquet, a -trophy and a prize. This committee includes your reporter, Mrs. Lillian Ringelstetter, and Mrs. Ann Nye. In case of rain, (and let's h#> NOT-) the affair will be held on Sunday. See you at the beach? president and trustees on Monday, July 11, those who attended were informed that bids have been let for the work on Orchard Drive which will begin as soon as possible. Wee One Under the Knife No stranger to surgery, doctors, and hospitals is little Cynthia Louise, the 18 month old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Etten, who reside in the former John Justen residence. This little tyke was born with a malformation which doctors have been trying to correct FOUR times! Her fourth surgical experience including skin grafting occurred on Wednesday of last week at Children's Memorial hospital in Chicago. With games being held every Tuesday and Thursday nights at both fields, and plenty of practice sessions, these young lads don't have time to get into mischief! They really put their hearts (and bodies) into these games and are a joy to watch. Eill Brennan, as president of the organization, is responsible for organizing the men and boys that make up the teams for us -- the Braves and the Sox. L. Spring Grove A Ushers Meet At Brown Home by Mrs. Charles Freund Rev. Edward Lehman and the ushers of St. Peter's held their regular meeting at the home of Walter Brown on Wednesday night. Plans were completed for their annual carnival and after the meeting cards were played.
