Mr. and Mrs. Louis Young of Waukegan, Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Reinert, son, LeRoy, Mt\ Mrs. Howard Reinert, William Smith, Mr. and Mrs. William Young, Kathleen and Carol, of Elgin, Mr. and Mrs. Art Smith, Jr., of Chicago and Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Mendel of Westchester, were among the out of town folks here to attend the Hocin-Young wedding Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Hollander and sons were guests of the HErry Haugs of Mount Prospect Saturday. After; a picnic supper, they attended the drum and bugle pageant at Des- Plaines. Mr. and Mi's. Robert Asmus and nephew and Mrs. Emma Wolter„ of Chicago have returned from a six-week trip to Germany. They were guests of Mr. and Mi's. Carl Behnke in McHenry on Saturday. OBITUARIES WIIAIAM T. DRENNAN Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at 5 o'clock for William T. Drennan of Fox street, who died Wednesday morning, Aug. 31. Services were private, with burial in Woodland cemetery. Mr. Drennan had been ill for about a year before his death. The deceased was born in Lowell, 111., July 27, 1880, and was a retired chief clerk of the Monon railroad in Chicago, He had resided in McHenry for twenty-eight years, and for several years was an employee of the Overton garage. Survivors include his wife. Bertha B„ and one brother, Charles, of Chicago. MRS. FLOYD REED Services were held Aug. 30 in Woodstock for Mrs. Floyd (Josie) Reed of Woodstock, who died at her home following a lingering illness. The late Mr. Reed formerly operated a tavern in McHenry. MATHEW S. MI FRITZ One of the month old twin sons of Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Mieritz of 114 E. Third street. McHenry, died last week Wednesday night, Aug. 31. The infant, Mathew Scott, was pronounced dead bv a local physician in his office. Coroner Theron Ehom conducted an investigation which revealed that the baby had been ill since birth with a congenital heart condition. He was born Aug. 1 in Memorial hospital. Survivors include the parents and twin brother. Services were held at 11 o'clock Friday morning from the George Just en & Son funeral home, with Rev. Burton Scbroeder officiating. Burial was in Woodland cemtery. JOSEPH MORAVEC Services were held Friday; morning at St. Francis of Rome church, Cicero, for Joseph F. Moravec, Jr., 62, of McHenry Shores, who died Aug. 30 at his home after a several months' illness. Burial was in Queen of Heaven cemetery. The deceased was born in 18&8 and resided in Cicero before moving to this community five years ago. He was a retired driver-mechanic for the post office. Besides his widow, Angeline, survivors are a daughter, Jeannet te Bryiak, of Cicero; a son, Joseph, stationed with the Army in Germany; four grandchildren; his mother, Mary Moravec; four sisters, Margaret Bodalwaki, Mae Veverke, Camille Guzzi and Elsie Sode, and two brothers, Edward and Frank, all of Cicero.
