Mr. Moravec passed away Tuesday morning in his home, after an illness of several months. Funeral services were conducted Friday in Berwyn. Sympathies are extended also to the Rudy Barnetts. whose mot her passed away recently in Chicago. chini celebrate their tenth birthday. Later on Grandma and Grandpa Cicchini from Rolling Meadows stopped out. Jeanette Burchfield had a slumber party recently. The sleeping beauties were Harriet Wolf, Ruth Edner, Iris Houser. And on Wednesday the Herman Kobernus. Vacation Trips The John Komers and family sperit a nice vacation visiting Glady's mother and dad, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Carr in Johnston City. In Ramsey. 111., they visited Gladys' brother, Joe Carr, and family. They also went to Kentucky Lake in Paducah and toured the State Parks in Southern Illinois. The Sim Santillis drove to Denver, Colo., to visit Sim's brother, Benny Santilli, and his family. And his sister. Mrs. Mary Glasso. and Joe Glasso. Jr. They also went to the Manitou Springs and Colorado Springs. Sim, Jr., and Buzzy sure enjoyed the fishing in the Arkanas River. Horr and There Everywhere Out for a good time in the country at the Dostals were the Bob Evans family, the Alex Mersiclp.k and family, Mr. and Mrs. Carl. Sahr with Jackie. Mr. and Mrs. Don Mirsielak with Kathie and Mrs. Burkos. A good time was had bv all. I Visitors over at the Moores for the weekend were Bob Cain and family from West Chicago and t he Bob Grist family from St. Louis, Mo., the Carl Simonsens, son. Ken. and his family from Mount Prospect stopped out to visit. Mrs. Helen Koltarski, Alice Brunke's, mother, and Ed. J. Tucilowski and son. Al, dropped out for a pleasant afand Mr. Wagner's mother, Grace. They all helped Chuck celebrate his birthday. Pat and Tom Burke with children, Kathy, Debbie and Jimmy, spent a couple of days at the Wisconsin Dells. Later they left the children at grandma and grandpa Novicki in Chicago and went to a well known resort at Rockton. They enjoyed golfing, bowling, swimming. etc. Joseph Moravec, Jr., and family have returned from Germany. Dr. and Mrs. Best of Bristol, Tenn., Mrs. Rrod's sister, spent several days visiting with them. The Addantes had a barbecue for <ome relatives; attending were Mr. and Mrs. V. Volpe, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Pierre, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Addante and Mr. and Mrs. Nick Addante and 'mys, Jerry and Nicky. They •ire all* from, Chicago. Mr. and Mrs. James? Hoy, former neighbors of the Sam Zeirriets, paid t'hem a surprise visit. The Moores drove over to Wilmette for a gettogether with Terry's godparents, the Mitchels. The Dobbertins spent a day in the big city visiting Betty's folks and later went to a carnival. Don Schweikert was home on leave and he brought his bride to be. Miss Phyllis Butel from Topeka. Kansas, to meet Wolfe, from New York City, spent, a Sunday with the Mc- Kellys. Even the McKellys dog. King, had a visitor, his name was Tiki. Mrs. Ruemelin is also active in the V.F.W. and enjoys her spare time just relaxing and fishing with the children down by the channel. Both she and J^mes are members of the McHenry Shores club. Many vital subjects were discussed. A workable undertaking was reached on several important matters. The most important of all was a complete agreement on the method and personnel for the Downey hospital parties held the third Wednesday of each month. Non-members are invited to attend these parties. Hospitalized veterans need your help, and you will come away with a satisfaction of knowing that you have helped bring a few moments of pleasure to a sick veteran.
