Graduations In 4ft impressive ceremony l^t Friday evening, four of our young Sunnyside Estaters were among those receiving their diplomas from McHenry high school. They are Mary Ann Berg, Rosemary Felicetti, Roberta Hammershoy and Jerry Zeiger. Best wishes and success toward the goal each of you has chosen for your life's work. The Johnsburg grade school l&duation program was a colorful event. The thirty-five graduates were attired in red and white caps and gowns to receive their diplomas. Those from Sunnyside Estates graduating were Jeanniejo Benoche, Edward Brink, Michael Major and John Rau. After the 8:30 Mass Sunday, June 4, graduates received tJu?ir diplomas, at St. John's cmirch. There were thirty-two in the class and James Farley was the only one from our community. Congratulations to all these fine youngsters and many good wishes as you go on to high school. Parties were held in the various homes with the graduates receiving many lovely gifts in honor of these events. First Meeting At the first officers' meeting of the new administration of the ,SEHOA, many serious m a t t t e r s w e r e d i s c u s s e d a n d plans for the future were made. It was decided to forego the Fourth of July picnic in favor of one to be held on Labor Day. A Wedding Betty and Bob Lakowske attended the wedding of his cousin, Joan Jaszkowski, to Robert Ludick, Saturday, June 3. A 10 a.m. Mass at St. Hyacinth's church in Chicago united the couple. The reception for relatives and friends followed at 6 p.m. Attend Graduation Bernice and Earl Fry and kids, Sandy and Tommy, attended the high school graduation of his cousin, Grace Fry, in Chicago recently. Little League Two teams of 8-year-old boys, the Braves and the Cubs, are composed of boys from Sunnyside Estates and the surrounding area. Due to the efforts of the coaches and the manager they hope to make better sportsmen and citizens of your boy. The first game was won by the Braves with the score of 28 to 9 and a large crowd cheering the 'teams on. Come out yourself and see a real ball game. Your encouragement and being there rooting for your team is all the boys ask. The manager of the Braves is Harold Palmer and the coaches are Ed Oziminski, R. Dulaney, J. Long and J. Scott. Girl Scout News Alice Bieschke, Helen Kobus and Mafge Palmer completed a training course as unit leaders for the Girl Scout Day Camp to be held the second week in July.
