The latter part of the evening was spent with her young friends. Adeline and Hank Zeiger held open house Sunday, June 11, for their son, Jerry, a graduate of McHenry high. About forty relatives and friends from Niles, Northbrook, Spring Grave and Sunnyside Estates called during the day and enjoyed a buffet dinner. Jerry has been accepted by the Wisconsin Slate College in Whitewater and will be majoring in history come fall. Silver Anniversary Gloria and Ernie VonOepen, Jr., and sons attended the silver wedding of his parents Saturday, June 10, in Chicago. There was a reception in the afternoon and in the evening a sit down dinner for 250 guests. Later the guests enjoyed dancing until the wee hours of the morning. Later in the evening Aunt Marilyn and Uncle Bob Gamperl and their three children came with more gifts, and stayed over Sunday. The June 5 game was won by the Braves, 8 to 7. The boys play on the community club ball diamond and the next game is June 28. Take the kids and enjoy a good ball game. They moved to Sunnyside Estates in June, 1959, from the north side of Chicago. This gal was smart -- she married her boss seven years ago and they now have two lovely daughters, 6 year old Linda and 3 year old Jackie. Joe is manager of a service station in Chicago and commutes daily. Marilyn enjoys sewing and Joe's hobby is fishing. A Day Out LaVeme and Kelly Noah and their kids visited her brother and his wife, Mr. and Mrs. David Johnston, in their new town house in DesPlaines, one day recently. Later they gave the kids a whirl at kiddie land then on to her parents, Mr. ind Mrs. William Johnston, in Chicago for supper. Visitors George Kropf, Jr., had a recent weekend pass from Fort Campbell, Ky., and spent the time with his parents, Millie and George, Sr. Millie's former boss in Chicago, Helen Coga, and husband, Joe, spent Sunday in the Kropf home. Sick List Marge DeFrancisco is in Chicago lending cheer and a helping hand to her sister, Dorothy Shavey, who has been seriously ill. The Siepman household was in a turmoil last week. Four year old Heather fell off a teeter-totter and received a deep ^ish under her eye. One year old Warren closed the washer door on a finger and cut it badly and three year old Howie was bedded with a old. I would say that Dotty has been pretty busy. Helen Wegner has raturned from McHenry hospital \but daughter, Kathy, is sick witfiva cold. I I talked to Betty Lakowske the day following her surgery in McHenry hospital and she was feeling fine.
