The McHenry county has grown oyer 400 per cent in populntion in the past ten years. This has had a tremendous effect on many organizations and services dealing with the public. One organization and service participating in this growth is the Blackhawk Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America. The annual quota of McHenry lounty needed for their share of these services to our young boys has been $30,000. However the maximum that has ever been met is $12,000 to $13,000. The rest has been subsidized by Roekford's United Fund. The appeal is going out through this year's chairman and vice-chairman, Bill Burfeindt and Jerry Kalk, for a growing number of annual sustaining contributions to mere effectively meet obligations to the Blackhawk Council. They supply now, better than ever, a great number of services and camping facilities for this excellent program in character building. The campaign will be in full swing within a week or ten days. deceased was a former Berwyn resident. Survivors include her husband. Joseph; a daughter, Emily Brueggernann; four sons.
