Trad* Mark Refe 1246 N. Green St. Ph. EV 5-2027 The day has rolled around for the annual Halloween party and dance for which V.F.W. Post 4600 is famous, Saturday, Oct. 28. Though all are urged to attend this event in costume, it is worth one's time to come over and see the effort and ingenuity some people employ to disguise themselves. Dancing will kick-off at 10 p.m., but the grand march will commence at 9 pjm. sharp. This is due to the stifling efforts some of the headdresses have on the wearers. One year the grand march was delayed, and it was really rough on some of the black cats and witches. Cash prizes are set up for first and second place in three groupings. Here they are: First and second, best costume over all; first and second, most unique or original; first and second, best couple or group. A luncheon will be served on the house! To our V.F.W. members and recruits, this is the last plea for your 1962 dues to be paid by the first of November. Though you have until Jan. 1, 1962, to be aboard, let's be 100 per cent and get that special award from the district and department. Few posts attain this goal in Illinois or any other state.
