Doing a fine job in collecting donations for the affair were Mary Anderson, Kandy Kobus, Cathy Palmer and Judy Watefcyliski. Waupaca, and another sister, Mrs. H. Hagen, in Scandinavia. Her nephew and his wife, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Cunnings, of Northbrook drove to Wiscon and brought Mrs. Olson home. The ladies presented Harriet with a gift and all enjoyed the cake and coffee. Honor Student Vicki Jesski, sophomore in McHenry High School,- is one of 44 students who received a certificate of Educational Development in recognition of outstanding performance on the spring of 1961 National Educational Development Test. This test reflects credit to both the student and the school. Vicki is the daughter of Barbara and Flo Jesski. Congratulations, Vicki. Brownie News The eagerly awaited cookout of Brownie Troop 150 was held Tuesday, Oct. 17, at the Ohstf elder home. Two fires were made so that each of the girls could cook her own hamburger. Only one charcoal burger resulted but was still eatable. The girls were supervised by Leader Alice Bieschke, Co-Leader Sylvia Obstfeklei and Alice Mayer. A1J agreed that a cook-out was an ideal meeting. Cookie hostesses were Mary Jo Kennebeck and Doreen Patterson. A Wedding Marge and Louis DeFranciseo and daughter, Pammy, recently attended the wedding of Marge's niece, Sharon Cleal, to Leonard "J. Pryjomski. The wedding ceremony was performed in the Our Lady of the Lake Catholic church in Waterford, Mich. This was followed by a wedding breakfast in Keego Harbor, Mich., and a dinner and reception in the evening. June Voieht with Richard and Teddy. Steve Lasnek and Bobby Lasnek came after school. The youngsters enjoyed the balloons, favors, birthday cake and milk while the mothers drank coffee. Hay ride Christine and Don Fail were chaperones on a hayride Saturday evening, Oct. 14, for the young people of Fox Lake Baptist Church. Don sponsors this group in the church and all had a grand time singing as the hay wagon wended its way. Afterwards they returned to the church for cider and doughnuts. A Visitor to Wisconsin Mrs. Emma Olson recently returned from a ten-day visit in Wisconsin. She spent some time with her brother, John Lee, in Nelsonville, visited her sister, Mrs. John Pearson, in An Autumn Trip Mary and Herb Rose and son, Donnie, enjoyed their weekend trip to Baraboo, Wis. Autumn was resplendent in her multi-colored hues of orange, yellow, brown and red. They visited the Circus World Museum sponsored by the Historical society of Wisconsin. The circuses of Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey are reproduced in miniature and afford much pleasure to circus lovers of all ages. Young Donnie especially enjoyed this display and also the visit to the state capitol in Madison. The Roses spent the weekend with Herb's sisters. A Birthday Piirty Five-year-old Mary Walczynski was guest of honor at a party given by her parents, Joan and Stan, on Oct. 15. The youngsters enjoyed pinning the tail on the donkey and other games after opening the many nice gifts. Those enjoying the ice cream, birthday cake and other goodies were Kasey and P a t t i A n d e r s o n , C a t h y a n d Helen Farley, Cathy Gerstein, Gail. McDonald, sister, Judy, and brothers, Stan, Jr. and Billy. Grandma and Grandpa Holtfodt were present for the occasion and in the evening Joan's aunt and uncle, Val and Ben Weich of Chicago, and Millie and George Kropf came for cake and coffee. Let's Go "VMtin* Let's go to 2016 W. Grandview drive. Standing on the doorstep to greet us are Bernadine and Bill Grist. They moved to Sunnyside Estates in April, 1958, from Chicago. Bevnadine is a native Chicagoan and Bill is a gentleman from the south, Mississippi and New Orleans. He works as a publisher's representative, is a member of the Moose, enjoys hunting and raises those beautiful roses around their home. Bernadine attends a beautician school in McHenry, is treasurer of the SEHOA, enjoys sewing and gardening. A very nice coupie and an asset to Sunnyside Estates. Another Birthday A birthday party for 3-yearold Ernie Von Oepen, Jr., was given by his mother, Gloria, on Tuesday, Oct. 17. Mothers and small fry of the neighborhood came to sing happy birthday to young Ernie. Among them were Pat Bott and Cindy, Florence Kanter and her Mary and Johnny, Carol Lasnek with Candy and Donna Marie, La- Verne Noah and David and Huntin' arid Pieldn' Brave people, those Jesskis..
