Double Celebration Mr. and Mrs. Sam Parisi gave a double party for their son, Pete, on Sunday, Oct. 22. It was Pete's birthday and engagement party. He became engaged to Bonnie Bucarp. No date has been set as yet. Attending the celebration was Margie Parisi, Mr. and Mrs. Shower Jeanette Koerper gave a bridal shower for her niece. Joanne Koerper, of F.'astwood Manor. Approximately thirtyeight guests attended the Oct. 15 doings. Joanne received many wonderful gifts. A buffet style meal was served. A buffet style dinner was served. Halloween Parties frgnna and Ray Rode were hosts for a Halloween party last Saturday evening. They also celebrated Donna and Bob Matthews birthdays. Attending the gala party in unusual costumes were Jesse and Bob Matthews, Clarence and Eleanore. Hearle, Bob and Audrey Koczar, Fred and Judy Ludwig, Sue and Matt Grizely. Vivian and John Steele, Rich and Judy Janzack, Rich and Ann Wohnrade, Shirley and Max Koch, Shirley- and Marv George, Ron and Barb Muereu, Stella and Joe Links, and John and Polly La Castro. Everyone enjoyed themselves and some were still recuperating when I called this Monday. Some fun, Huh? The Cub Scouts from Pack M61 had a Halloween party on Oct. 26 on the grounds of the VFW. They roaste<4j> weenies and marshmallows over a sizzling bonfire. The boys presented short skits and first prize was won by Den 4. The den mother is Mrs. Arlene Bartos and she's very proud of her boys. The winners were Russell Rode, Bobby Matthews, Tom Bockmann and Mark Bart os. The Squares had a Halloween party on Saturday Oct. 28, at the community house. There were eleven couples. Games were playod and prizes were awarded to the winners. The Rogers had their traditional Halloween weenie roast last Tuesday. They needed it because on Sunday afternoon they were visited by Ed and Ann Selles and daughter, Linda, from Chicago. The Selles are planning on living in our fair community m the near future. And we say "Welcome". Vicky and Len Bottari and children attended a Communion party last Sunday in Chicago. Their niece, Judy Mazzoni, made her ,Communion at St. Ailbe's. There was a paity afterwards for the family. John and Gloria Flannigan attended a dinner last week at the John McNish home in Richrrtond. Visitors Beverly Wickenkamp was hostess for a club which she belonged to since high school days. The group has kept in contact with each other since then: She served high-caloried desserts and plenty of coffee. Jack and Petey Oakford had company from Chicago on Sunday, Oct. 29. They were Mr. and Mrs. Charles Pierce and son, Ed. Shii ley and Max Koch were surprised last Sunday by a visit from old friends, Nick and Ann Sobol and children of Hillside.
