One Big Party The Bill Broeans and the Don Roths decided to get together on a party to celebrate Don and Carolyn's anniversary Oct. 30, Bill's birthday. Nov. 3. and Don's birthday, Nov. 5. They -ame up with a Halloween party and decorated the firocan basement for the festivities. Weddings and Receptions Saturday the Walter Kuck family wont into the city for the weddine and reception of Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Ricker. The bride was beautiful in her white lace gown and dark hair alongside the handsome blonde eroom. They had a wonderful time dancing in the evening. Alberta Sobacki attended Vic wedding of her nephew, Patrick Groat, in Round Lake. Ed, A Iberia and Mike went to the reception in the evening where they all had a gay time dancing to the music of the orchestra and were served a buffet supper. Birthday Parties Karen Arendt celebrated her «urt.h birthday on a Sunday ternoon with a wonderful children's birthday party. In for the fun and goodies were Cathy, Chris, Keith, Gary and Kenneth Durkin, Kenneth and Jacqueline Jacobson, and brothers, David and Garry Arendt. Lenny Hansen celebrated his birthday at Dolores and Len Lawrence's enjoying fresh homemade pumpkin pie (with candle!) Dolores Lawrence had a marvelous birthday. She and Len, and Warren and Lois Krebs had a very luscious dinner with birthday cake and all at Pat and Bob Kellogg's. Afterwards the six of them went bowling. Three-year-old Billy Huemann invited eleven little boys in for a big birthday party. He ®lebrated a second time joining his cousin Kim Huemann is Johnsburg. Hostess Rita Simpson served delicious hot sandwiches to the Tripoli club Thursday and also came out the winner for the evening. Booby prize was awarded to Gail Crokin. Brownie News Last week's meeting of Troop 150 was spent making invitations for their parents to the investiture ceremony to be held Tuesday, Nov. 14. They practiced the investiture and the acceptance of year pin awards. Esther Schneider was the mother helping at this meeting, and Audrey Seliga was cookie hostess. Girl Scout News The mothers of Troop 295 attended the meeting Wednesday evening, Nov. 8, instead of their daughters. Leader Marge Barth conducted the meeting as a regular Scout meeting with the pledge and salute to the flag. She discussed the various badges the girls are trying to earn and final arrangements were made for their hike. It was decided that each week a mother will assist the leader and co-leaders. Each of the nine mothers attending brought a doll dressed to represent a foreign country. Cake and coffee were served after the meeting ajourned. He is such a lovable bundle of fluff that held later at his parents' home. Sisters, brothers, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins by the dozens took part in the festivities and Richi received some nice gifts and money from his relatives. Carol reports that the food was out of this world. An Iowa Trip Clif and Andy Sabby recently visited their son and his wife, Lloyd and Naomi, and their children, Karen, Dennis and Ronnie, in Estherville, Iowa. On the way to Estherville they stopped over in Jewel, Iowa and spent two days with friends there. Hey! Mom It has been brought to my attention that when the children get off the school bus in the afternooh they discard their lunch papers then. The &>ind picks up these papers and blows them into the yards of nearby homes making them unsightly.
