Hutchison of Barrington. Miss Covalt, a 1961 graduate of McHenry high school, is presently attending Ohio State university. Mr. Hutchison was graduated from the local high school in 1953 and attended the University of Illinois and Lake Forest college before 'entering the Marine corps. He is now stationed at Jacksonville, S. C. The wedding will take place Dec. 23 in the McHenry Community Methodist church. Father Beddoes officiating. Sponsor's were two cousins, Darlene Freund of McHenry and Stephen Freund of Wauconda. * Guests at a dinner at the Freund home following the ceremony were Rev. Fr. Breit of Chicago, in a pretty wedding solemnized Saturday, Nov. 11, at an 11 o'clock Mass in St. Peter's Catholic church, Volo. Rev. Fr. E. I-. Slingerland officiated at the service. Bouquets of mums decorated the altars. The attractive bride approached the altar in a floor length dress of white lace, styled with long sleeves, square neckline and a very full skirt caught in back by two roses. Her jeweled crown held a fingertip veil. She earned a bridal bouquet of white carnations and stephanotis. Evelyn Henkel of Volo acted as her maid ol' honor, wearing a royal blue organdy, ballerina length dress, with matching crown and shoes, and white gloves and purse. Little Sheila Monroe of McHenry was the flower girl, attired in a floor length dress of white organdy with royal blue sash and matching headband. Both of the attendants had colonial bouquets of white carnations with small, royal blue mums. Gerald Henkel of Mundelein served as best man. Mrs. Purtell selected a pale blue sheath dress with which she wore matching accessories, while Mrs. Breit wore a white sheath with gold brocade and matching accessories. A reception followed for between 100 and 150 guests at the Starlite restaurant, after which the couple left for Tampa, Fla., where they will spend the winter. They will return to reside at 1101 S. HOME BUREAU TO HOLD CRAFJ DAY ON NOV. 29 The McHenry County Home Bureau invites interested homemakers to a craft day to be held on Nov. 29 beginning at 10 a.m. at the Farm Bureau. This is a macaroni craft day, at which pictures and various decorative articles will be made from macaroni and spaghetti products. Mrs. Libbie Nesvabda, Crystal Lake, will be teaching the craft. Anyone interested in attending is asked to bring some macaroni wagon wheels, a 6 x 8 corrugated cardboard, Elmer's glue, elbow macaroni and a picture hanger or wire. Schaefer Mrs. Anita Freund 11-16-61 The McHenry Garden club will present Mrs. Carl Ranta at the Nov. 30 meeting, which will be held at the Commuq£jy Methodist church at 1:30 p.m. Mrs. Ranta will demonstrate and discuss "Christmas Decorations," a subject in which "she is expert. As proprietor of a flower shop in Zion, she has had a great deal of experience in her field. Mrs. Ranta has won many blue gibbons for her table, settings and in one instance she received the coveted vise tie, highest honor at the show. After attending a well known school of floral design in Chicago, she went into the flower business in Zion, where she has been located for the past 11 years. She has demonstrated -her art lor many Garden club groups in this area and her work has been enthusiastically- appreciated by all. The Garden club of Wonder Lake has been invited to erijoy the program on this date and it is hoped many members will attend. < Mrs. Theodore Arvidson, program chairman, promises a very interesting afternoon.
