Dow, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Dow of Arlington Heights, to Henry A. Kenyon, son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Kenyon of Williams Bay, Wis. The future bride is a 1961 graduate of Northern Illinois university. Mr. Kenyon received his bachelor's degree from Wisconsin State college, Whitewater, and his master's degree from Northern Illinois university. Both are currently employed by the Junior high school in McHenry. A June 27 wedding is planned. Juvenile Foresters Win Meet March SO Girl Juvenile members of St. Clara's Court, No. 659, McHenry, will have a recreational and social meeting Monday, March 30, in St. Mary's gym from 2 to 4 p.m. Girls not able to participate in gym activities will be asked to make felt bookmarks to be donated to the public library. Miss Janet Smith was honored at a miscellaneous bridal shower given by Barbara Schmaling, with ten guests present. Gifts were given to Miss "Smith from a table featuring a bride doll made out of foil and netting. On Sunday, March 21, she was honored by her bridesmaids, Barbara ; Smith and Mary Lou Wakitsch, at the Johnsburg Community club. Forty-five persons attended the buffet luncheon, for which the color scheme of blue and white was carried out. Miss Smith will become the bride of John Schmaling on April 4. Honor Mrs. Meyer At Pink-Blue Shower Mrs. Karl Meyer of Qenoa City, Wis., the former Barbara Krickl, was guest of honor at a pink and blue shower held Sunday, March 22, at the home of her parents on Richmond Road, with Jennifer Krickl as hostess. Fifteen relatives and friends from Genoa City, Chicago, Roselle and McHenry attended and presented Mrs. Meyer with many useful and beautiful gifts. The table was decorated in pink and blue, with the centerpiece a pair of baby shoes on a pink and blue mat, filled with an arrangement of pink sweetheart roses and blue forget- me-nots. JAMES MCDONOUGH The woman's auxiliary to McHenry hospital is fortunate to have amonej its members Mrs. James McDonough of Crystal Lake, who will be fashion commentator for the April 8 spring Card party and fashion show. A popular local personality, Mrs. McDonough began a colorful acting and singing career as a child, attending Chicago's Mulvey School, of Dramatic Arts. Just prior to her marriage, she had a budding movie career under the direction of the now famous Frank Capra. Thirteen years and three children later, she resumed her singing career with supper club and U..S.O. engagements She appeared with the Jimmy Blake orchestra over NBC radio and had a fifteen minute shew over WILA, Woect^ijck, some years ago Now the mother of eight, Mrs. McDonough is very active in the Twilight Ridge stock players, appearing in their third season at the Plays on Rt. 31, Crystal Lake. She has had roles in "Bell, Boole and Candle", "The Importance of Being Earnest" and many others.
