Daisy Smith, represented the auxiliary at Elmhurst for the reception for Lillian Campbell, the national president. She gave an interesting report on her evening. Attending the National President's luncheon at the Pick- Congress hotel in Chicago on Saturday, March 21, were Vi Abbink, Inez Young, Itenee Jende and Daisy Smith. This luncheon for Lillian Campbell was a most pleasant affair. The national president is a gracious lady with a lovely, soft voice. She spoke about her trip to Puerto Rico and her discussion, with the people there about our foreign student program, in which she is deeply interested. Speakers at the luncheon included two foreign students-- a young lady from Israel and a young man from Nyasaland. Their speeches left us all with food for thought. One of the highlights of the day for me was meeting once again our own Fifth District President, Gvven Timm. What a delightful person she is. It was a thoroughly enjoyable day for all of us. Daisy also gave her report on attending a tea at St. Charles for the Fifth District President Gwen Timm. She, Marge Moreth and Vi Schuble attended. The next meeting will be election of officers. Be there to vote for the candidate of your choice. Three new members w e r i given the obligation at this meeting. We welcome to the organization Helen Stippick, 11a Hogan and Josephine Swanson. The next meeting will be held April 13 at 8 p.m. at the clubhouse.
