The next regular business meeting is on Monday, Sept. 28 at 8 p.m. at the barn. Eastwood Manor Property Owner's Association You sure missed a lot of fun if you missed the E.M.P.O.A. sponsored picnic Sunday afternoon as all who attended had a grand time. There were games and prizes galore for kids in every age bracket. This is an annual affair and a wonderful chance to become acquainted with your neighbors and also to become re-acquainted with old friends after an eventful summer has gone by. So if you missed out this time --let's see you there next September for sure--in the meantime, let's see you at the regular monthly meetings at the barn where these good times are planned for you and you can contribute fun ideas for us too. Bet you have many good ideas for our next get-together, haven't you? Wellx let's hear them voiced at the very next E.M.P.Q.A. meeting, Oct. 16, mark your calendar right now and then plan to be there and lend a hand in running your very own private club, the property owner's association! Meet Your Neighbors We got out and interviewed some newcomers and some not-so^new but not on our present files. We hope to get out to each of you before cold weather gets here. We are looking forward to meeting you and to introduce you to your neighbors. Our aim is to make you feel at home and welcome in Eastwood Manor. The state has 14,000 registered pilots and 3,600 aircraft. It has 125 commercial airports and 500 private air strips. The Roman engineers who designed this aqueduct in Spain were brilliant men. Skill such as theirs, more than the might of Caesar's armies, fashioned the vast civilization of the Empire. In this age of scientific discovery never overlook the Truths long ago revealed. Christianity was born in a remote province of ancient Rome. It suffered generations of persecution until it converted even its persecutors. And when barbarians overran the Empire, our faith found a foothold in their hearts as well. In a civilization of modern marvels the Church still raises its towers of truth. And when, next Sunday, we come with our families to worship, somewhere a congregation will be singing: O where are kings and empires noiv But, Lord, thy Church is praying yet-- Of old that went and came? A thousand years the same!
