Congratulations and best wishes to the happy couple. Halloween Party The weather man cooperated beautifully on Halloween to make it a fine day for all the children to enjoy the party at the beach. Candy, apples, prizes and hot dogs and pop were distributed to all. Games were enjoyed by all the goblins and witches. Prizes for best costumes went to Patty Brunke, first prize; Virginia Schubert second, and Diane Flint, third in the girls division. I have heard many comments on the excellent behavior of all the Tricks and Treaters' and all said thank you for the candy they received. By the looks of the loot they carried parents didn't have to buy much candy for a few days. Meeting Results At the meeting of the McHenry Shores Club on the 5th a report was given on the dance of the 10th and Chairman Lindwall expressed disappointment on the sale of the tickets, some families returning all of them unsold. There is much room for improvement in the area of cooperating in the events held for the benefit of the club. Both clubs have spent quite a bit in improving the beach, putting in the fountain parties for the kids, picnics and slide in the water and it doesn't seem like asking too much to expect support when we are .trying to raise money since all of us do use the beach. No doubt you have noticed the repairs on the roads done last Tuesday. It sure is nice not to have to dodge those big holes. "The convention made available $700,000 for 1964-65, $750,000 for 1965-66, and $1,- 250,000 for each of the years 1966-67 and 1967-68.
