Asset growth during the year of $758,089.48 amounted to an 11.2 percent increase over assets of one year ago and total assets at the end of 1964 stood at $7,469,399.87. Collins said that the growth reflected a combination of increases of mortgage loan and savings balances outstanding. He added that the flow of personal savings appears to have been stimulated "materially" by the reduction in federal income taxes, effective last spring. Mr. Kerrigan was stricken while visiting friends at Pistakee Highlands. The body was taken to the George R. ELECT OFFICERS AT FINE ARTS ANNUAL MEE: The annual meeting of the Woodstock Fine Ar|s association will be held in the Opera House on Jan. 25 at 8 p.m. At this time there will be an election of new directors and officers. Esther Stewart executive secretary of the association, will disclose definite and tentative plans for the 1965 Opera House season. The entire membership is invited to attend as well as those interested in becoming members. Mrs. Stewart stated that perhaps 1964 was^ the most successful year for the association and the Opera House. A total of 10,230 people saw such varied events as "An Evening With Shakespeare", a spring Pure Oil Glee Club concert; a night of ^rand opera with the Apollo Opera company celebrating the diamond jubilee of the Opera House; a tour and Historical society display on the stage during the hospital auxiliary's annual Hospitality Day, and John Monkman's adaptation of "Amahl and the Night Visitors" at Christmastime. SERVICE NEWS Marine Private First Class Charles L. Rasmussen, son of Mrs. Roland Payne of 5210 Nimitz, Wonder Lake, was "Father for a Day" to a Japanese orphan Dec. 19 when the Fijst Marine Aircraft Wing held their annual Christmas party at the Marine Corps Air station, Iwakuni, Japan. As the 666 children arrived, each "father" welcomed his ward and accompanied them to the mess hall, where they received a special Christmas dinner with all the trimmings. Carl Lobitz of Zion Lutheran church officiated at last rites Sunday afternoon in the George R. Justen & Son funeral home for Mrs. Sophie Dolderer, 73, who was pronounced dead upon arrival at McHenfy hospital Thursday night, Jan. 14. Interment was private. Mrs. Dolderer's death was attributed to a heart attack. The deceased was born in Germany Oct. 28,r 1891, and for the past eighteen years had lived with her daughter, Mrs. Carl Springman, and family at 814 River Road, McHenry. Her husband, Wilhelm, died in Germany in 1946. She is survived by her daughter; three granddaughters; two greatgrandchildren and a sister, the latter residing in Germany. ANNA ERICKSON Mrs. Anna Erickson of 133 Venice avenue, Lakemoor, was found diead in bed Tuesday afternoon, Jan. 19. Her death followed a periodf of poor health. /The deceased, 78, was born Oct. 15, 1886, in Sweden. She had resided in the community for about a year. Survivors include her husband, Roy. The body was taken to the George R. Justen & Son funeral home and then removed^to the Fredricks chapel in Lycms, 111. EDWARD J. LEADLEY Edward J. Leadley of 4713 W. Wonder Lake Drive, Wonder Lake died Thursday, Jan. 14, at 4 o'clock in the afternoon at Memorial hospital, Woodstock, where he had been a patient for about a week. Mr. Leadley, 55, was born March 30, 1909, in Chicago, where, he operated a messenger service. The family were summer residents here for five years, and for the past, two and one-half years lived here permanently. He is survived by his wife, Gertrude. The body rested at the Peter M. Justen & Son funeral home until 10 o'clock Monday, when a funeral Mass was sung at 10 o'clock at Christ The King Catholic church, Wonder Lake, followed by burial in the church cemetery.1 PROGRAM ON HANDICAPPED On Friday, Jan. 15, the administrative staff and the board of education of McHenry Elementary schools presented a program of interest to professionals, laymen and parents who are involved in the diagnosis and care of the brain damaged child. Guests were welcomed by Mrs; Eleanor Foley, principal and chairman of local arangements, and by Mayor and Mrs. Donald Doherty. The theme of the program was the perceptually handicapped child in our society, as outlined by Bill D. Dial, speech therapist. Adverse weather conditions resulted in the postponement of the keynote address by Mrs. Charles (Lenni) Goldstein of Skokie and the attendance of numerous invited people from various professional specialties from out of the Fox Valley area. ta Claus" made a special appearance and presented each child with a gift. The party, better known among the Marines of the Airwing as operation "Happy Face," is an annual event at the air station. The first party was held in 1956 when 100 children from a single orphanage received the royal treatment from Marines of the unit.
