A new welcoming committee consisting of two women tp represent the Woman's club to new residents was formed, with Vi Wycaesany and Loretta Nelson serving on that committee. The committee in charge of the banquet to be held this spring consists of Charis Ary, Kay Ryan and Gerri Postal. Orchids to the* gals who served the club so well for the past year, Gerry Breede, Charis Ary, Connie Catanzaro, Gerri Postal and Dot Gabriel. Hostesses for lasjt Wednesday's meeting were tylary Mahon, Joan Schoeder and Kay Ryan. ^ Injured In Auto Accident Last Friday morning, on their way to work in Crystal Lake, Jo VanDuyn and Lu Ahlgrim were involved in a head-on collision at Route 176 and Silver Lake Road. From the information I have been able to get, (and this is being written just a few hours after the accident), both of therti are hospitalized at McHenry hospital. Jo had no broken bones but was still undergoing x-rays, and Lu had face lacerations, and sqxne b^ck injury. Blood Popprs Needed The Hale and Smith families have sent an urgent request for blood donors. During the illness of their recently deceased father, he required 30 pints of blood, which means they have to replace 60 pints and unfortunatley he was not a member of a blood bank. If you are able to donate, you can go to McHenry hospital and ask that your donation be credited to Roy Prehn who was at Resurrection hospital. Thank you!! Shower For Baby-To-JSe Sunday, Feb. 7, twenty-five gvrests gathered at 1507 West Birch to shower Mary Sawisch pretty 'little' things for her baby-to-be. Hostesses to the many friends and relatives were Jackie Sawisch and Rosemary Bellow.
