Guy Erbin. Ljnda Leuth, Richard Morley. Doreen Patterson and Charles Remle. The Confirmation services were conducted by Rev. Christian Doenecke and Rev. Jay Alt house. The class took their first Communion on Thursday, April 15. This was the most, sacred service of Holy Week. . : The Woman's Society of Christian Service met' on Thursday. April 13, at the parsonage. At this time a slate of new officers were elected. They are: Hazel Morley, president; Delpres Oakley, vice-president;. Sally Jo Von Bruenehehhein. and Pearl Sweet, treasurer. Congratulations girls, I know you will do a bang up job. • The Women's Society is planning a rummage sale for May 22, at the church, the hours will be posted later, Vi Krispin and Hazel Morley are the chairmen. Good Friday services were held at the Ingleside Methodist church. There were two identical services held on Easter Sunday. At the 11 o'clock service there was a reception for new members. The greeters for the April ,11 Worship Hour were Glenda and Phil Wieck and the candle lighter was Billy Barth. The sermon, "When Jesus Came to Town." was delivered by Rev. Blackman. The organist for the service was Delores Oakley and a solo was sung by Jeanie Jo Benoche. Blessed Virgin Sodality St. John's Blessed Virgin Sodality held their monthly meeting on Tuesday, April 13, at the Johnsburg Community Club. Those attending from this area were: Dorothy Orlowski, Dorothy Jenkins, Betty Zenner, Jean Tomas, Celia Thelen, Lois Thelen and Kay Sielisch. County Meeting Held In Highlands The McIIenry County Federation of Woman's Clubs held a county meeting at the Pistakee Highlands community center on Wednesday, May, 14. About fifty ladies attended. She gave the humorous side of a family trip around the world. This was comparing the different types of humor. She also reviewed the synopsis of a very humorous book. The entire group was honored by the presence of Mrs. Fredrick Gould, who is the district president. The beautiful center piece that was used on the speaker's able was donated by a local florist. Mrs. John Heineman made the lovely name tags of spring flowers made out of felt. Mrs. Hein,eman has worked very hard for the Pistakee Highlands Women's Club and has been given a free membership for her efforts. The Passing Of A Resident Saddens Friends On Wednesday, April 14. Mrs. Frances Brott suffered a fatal heart attack while on her way to the community center, to attend the county meeting and luncheon. Mrs. Brott had been a member of he Pistakee Highlands Women's Club for several years and was very active in community affairs. She was liked by everyone who came in contact with her and will be missed by many friends. Mrs. Brott is survived by a son, Elmer Bernahl, two grandchildren, Ruth Gunderson and Wayne. She was the sister of Catherine Shepar, John Karling, Barbara Schalk, Bertha Grudzjen and the late Peter Karling. Services were held at Olson Funeral Home, in Chicago with interment, on Saturday, April IT, at the Irving Park cemetery.
