Mary Ellen studied German for two years in high school and tentatively plans to spend her junior year studying in Germany or Austria. The young lady had the highest score of the entire freshman class on the St. Xavier English entrance examination. She has just completed her freshman year. The University of Illinois will hold its annual Agronomy Day on Thursday, June 17. Agronomy Day tours at the U. of I. South farm will "begin at 8 a.m. and continue until noon. Baked Apples 4 apples (Rome beauties or other baking apple) 8 tbsp. sugar Vfe cup water 2 tbsp. butter Cinnamon Select apples of uniform size. Wash and core. Place in baking dish.
