MISS BRUSSO WED SATURDAY IN LOCAL CHURCH Mr. and Mrs. Brian Powers are taking up residence at 3710 MiJlstream, McHenry, following their marriage last Saturday,. June 12, in Zion Lutheran Church, McHenry. Mrs. Powers is the former Miss Kathleen Ellen Brusso, daughter' of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Brusso of 3009 W. Rt. 120, McHenry, and the bridegroom is the son of Mrs. Dorothy Bruscato of 4407 E. Wonder Lake Road. Rev. Carl A. Lobitz officiated at the 5 o'clock ceremony. Bouquets of white peonies decorated the altar. •A floor length gown of chantilly type acetate and nylon lace was chosen by the pretty bride. It was enhanced with miniature seed pearls and sequins at the neckline and front of the bodice. A crown trimmed with simulated pearls and crystal beads held in place a fingertip veil. Her bouquet was of white roses and carnations. „ A Qlose friend, Miss Genene Dember of McHenry, was maid nf hrtnor and bridesmaids were Mrs.'.Betty Brusso of McHenry; a sister-in-law, and Mrs. Betty Kamp of McHenry, aunt, of the groom. They were attired in floor length dresses which extended into a train in back. Miss Dember selected yellow and the bridesmaids were in turquoise. They carried white roses and carnations. Sandra Brusso of McHenry niece of the bride, and Beth Bruscato of Wonder Lake, sister of the groom, flower girls, were pretty in turquoise floor length dresses! Peter Urecke of Wonder Lake attended his friend as best man and groomsmen were Donald Brusso of McHenry, brother of the bride, and William Kamp, also of McHenry, the groom's uncle. Mrs. Brusso selected a peach-colored lace dress over taffeta, with white accessories and a white rose corsage. Mrs. Bruscato wore a twopiece beige dress and yellow rose corsage. A reception for 200 guests at Club Lilymoor followed the ceremony. The bridegroom is employed at North Suburban Carpet, Wonder Lake. SHOP IN McHENRY Newlyweds To Tour Europe A tour* of Europe is in prospect for at least one of Mc- Henry's June brides. She is Miss Nancv Marie Ritter. who was married last Saturday, June 12, to Mr. Thomas Henry Dittmer. They will enjoy an extended tour before taking up residence in Germany for eight months, where ho will be stationed with the Armed Forces. Later plans call for making their permanent home in Chicago. Miss Ritter and Mr. Dittmer exchanged nuptial vows in St. Patrick's 'Catholic church i/i a ceremony performed by Fr. Eugene Parker. The mnin ajtar was decora lied \vi1h blue munis and'white daisies. ' Miss Ritter is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs'. Carl Ritter of 704 Columbus Street, McHenry, and Dittmer is the son of M?S?julia Dittmer of 6140 Patterson Avenue, Chicago, and the 1/ite Mr. Dittmer. Miss Ritte/ was lovely in a silk organza^ over taffe'ta dress, with empire waistline, alencon lace/ bodice and A-line skirt. ' Tme bodice featured a round neck and elbow length sleeves. A circular train fell from an imported Spanish lace mailt ilia. Miss Gail Paddock of Grayslake acted as maid of honor and bridesmaids were Connie Ritter, sister of the bride and Kathy Walsh of MundHein, niece of the groom. They wore poudre blue, floor length dresses fashioned with empire waistlines, lace bodices of chiffon over taffeta and short sleeves. Their picture hats were of matching color and they wore elbow length gloves. The young ladies had pendants which were gifts of the bride. Lisa Ann Ritter of Chicago, cousin of the bride, was the flower girl, wearing a dress similar to the adult attendants and carrying blue and white daisies. Leonard Ciesla of Chicago, close friend of the groom, served as best man and groomsmen were Ronald Kontrewa and Peter Magione of Chicago. Mrs. Ritter selected a medium yellow sheath dress with lace bodice, and had white accessories. The groom's mother wore a delicate pink ensemble with matching accessories. Both had white orchid corsages. An afternoon reception was enjoyed at the McHenry Country Club by 150 guests. The bride is a 1960 graduate of McHenry high school and received her degree in 1964 from Rosary college. She has been teaching in the first grade at F^dgebrook school.
