' A smorgasbord served by the ladies of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, followed the invocation by Rev. Walter Bloiesch. . Following lively entertainment by "Steve and Steve," and introduction of guests from six other Y's Men's clubs and the'International, the Evanston club conducted the induction of the new club. It was an impressive ceremony conducted by candlelight and emphasizing the six guiding tenets of TC's dom. " Northern District Governor Roger Rouse installed the officers, who were William Bums as president, Delbero Jeter as vice-president, Russell Magill as secretary, a fid John Hillwick as treasurer. i . : Additional gifts were a gavel from George Atterbury of the Elmhurst club, and an inscribed portable rostrum from the board of directors of the Lake Region YMCA presented by Alfred Seiling, president. George Yenerich made the flag presentation for the Naperville club and Charles McKibbin, the banner for the Evanston club. Myron "Mike" Sturm, immediate past president of Y's Men's International, was the speaker. Mr. Sturm Remarked of his attendance last fall at the White House Conference on Inter- nation Cooperation and oi his mixed reactions as to the accomplishments. He strongly praised the matter-of-fact, direct- answer approach of Secretary of Sate Dean Rusk who pointed out that there are 2,000 international meetings each year which can help foster inter- nation cooperation. Other remarks directed severe censure of the US Senate for "playing politics" with the seven J.N. conventions on Human Rights. Suspensions were ordered for Cornelius W. Miller of 603 Santa Barbara, McHenry, and Conrad T. Mueller of 7704 Ravinia drive, Spring Grove, both for three violations. Probationary permits have been issued to Harold D. Ford and Albert H. Sigmurid of Crystal Lake, Louis R. Kaminski of Algonquin and Alex B. Sharpe of Woodstock.
