On the way down they ran into a blizzard in Georgia and during the entire day were only able to make 200 miles at 15 miles per hour. It was difficult to see the car in front of yours and they have no snow plows down there as snow is not a problem to them. They arrived at Venice on Sunday and stayed at the home of Matt's sister, Margaret Maloney, for four days then went on to Miami visiting friends there, then to the 'Keys' where they spent the night. They took a tour of the Island and visited various hobby shops then back to Naples for one night. The next day a trip to Cape Coral «nd the rose gardens and museums was enjoyed. The weather was cold and it started to warm up the last few days they were there so they didn't find Florida at its best. Respectfully, for the Hard-of-Hearing The little wheel on the handset lets you turn up the volume of the caller's voice. It's adjustable to suit your needs--just like the volume control on your television set. With the volume turned down, it's a regular phone. This phone is one of many services we've developed to help the handicapped communicate. Others include special visual signals to replace the telephone bell for the deaf; an electronic larynx that lets many people talk despite impaired vocal cords; a switchboard for blind operators; telephones that can be used without being held, for people with limited use of hands and arms; and a handset that lets the caller amplify his voice if his speech should be impaired. Where these standard aids are not the answer, telephone engineers may be able to design and build devices to meet special communications needs. So, if you or someone you know could benefit from services like these, let us help. For more information, call your Illinois Bell Service Representative. We also have other services to help handicapped people communicate." iPirt @1 the Nationwide Bell Systarc
