Special music will be presented by young people, under the leadership of John Leighty. ..The featured speaker will be Rev. Russell W. Lambert, director of public relations of the Rock River conference of the Methodist church. He was recently appointed to this post after serving as pastor of Aldersgate Methodist church, in Rockford. He has previously served as pator of the First Methodist church in DeKalb, and the First Methodist church in LaGrange, as well as the Central Park Methodist church in Buffalo, New York. He has served as a member of Illinois Inter-Racial commission, a Labor management mediat- *or, board of trustees of American university in Washington. He is a member of the Wash- ' ington Psychological associa- . tion and the Rotary club. Sewing Guild Meets At Blake Home Eleven members and three present at the monthly meeting of the Sewing Guild of the Woman's auxiliary to the McHenry hospital. Mrs. Frank (Celia) Blake was hostess for the day at her home. Charleen Tony an took pictures of articles made by the sewing guild which will be published at a later date. Mrs. Claude McDer m o 11, president of the Woman's Auy iliary, spoke about the new enlarged coffee shop and Pink Lady Shoppe at the new addition of McHenry h o s p ital where many beautiful gift items, among them hand made articles made by the sewing guild may be purchased. Plans were made for a luncheon in May to celebrate birthdays of those born in that month. Green "HUMAN GROWTH" FILM TO BE SHOWN HARRISON PUPILS In September, the Harrison School P.T.A. presented Dr. Franklin Fitch on sex education, showing a film entitled "Human Growth". During that meeting, the parents were asked to express their written opinions as to whether or not they wanted this film shown to the upper grades of Harrison school. The results were almost unanimous for a showing at a later date. Gloria Freund, pro gram chairman, is pleased to report that the P.T.A. has Obtained the services of a representative of the Illinois Social Hygiene • league, one of Dr. Fitch's assistants, who will show this .film and offer a question and answer session afterward. The speaker will be Rev. Hunter Leggitt. Wednesday, April 27, in the Harrison school lunch room, this program will be offered t o t h e s i x t h , s e v e n t h a n d eighth graders, who must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. DONALCrMcCRARY RETURNS FROM CHOIR TOUR Donald McCrary is a member of the Augustana choir of Augustana college, Rock Island, which has just returned from a spring tour through five midwestern and eastern states. It was the choir's final tour under the leadership of its internationally known conductor, Henry Veld, who is retiring this summer after thirtyfive years of directing choral music at Augustana. The choir has two more major concerts this spring. They are April 16 in Orchestra Hall, Chicago, and the annual home concert June 5 in Augustana Centennial hall. McCrary, a sophomore, is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Marvin D. McCrary, 2212 N. Orchard Beach, McHenry. Mrs. Win. Ewald Is WSCS Speaker The Woman's Society of Christian Service of the McHenry Community Methodist church will hold its monthly meeting on Thursday, April 21. Prayer meeting will be held in the sanctuary at 11:45 a.m. TTie noon luncheon will be served by the Marcia Mary Ball circle. Greeters will be from the Helen Post circle. The program to be given by Mrs. William Ewald is entitled "Where the Women Are". Worship service will be led by Mrs. Harry Hans.
