Richards of 113 Sunnyside road, McHenry, pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct and was assessed $50 and $20 costs. All offenders appeared before Judge John Kaufman in Branch 3 court. An important part of the McHenry Country Art Fair to be held June 17, 18 and 19 is the Patrons' Purchase plan. Mrs. Kenneth B. Hatfield of McHenry, chairman of the Patrons' Purchase committee, states that "The Art Fair offers the community the satisfaction of helping McHenry hospital by supporting the fair, and through the Patrons' Purchase plan provides a means for everyone to acquire a pleasing art collection." By pledging to purchase some work of art prior to the opening of the show, a person, organization or business, becomes a patron and is entitled to a special viewing where he makes his choice before the show is open to the public. Throughout the ' county a number of business estabishments have purchased paintings for their walls, several graduating classes have purchased gifts for their schools, and a large number of individuals have bought paintings or sculpture for their personal collections. Mrs. Hatfield says that pledges ranging from $10 to $50 have been most popular, but the patron may increase the expenditure if he wishes. If he does not find anything to please him his commitment will be gladly refunded. In addition to adding to an art collection, a Patron's Purchase gift certificate provides a novel and personal way of giving a« gift. Mrs. Hatfield also suggests that if patrons so desire, they may contribute gift certificates in any amount to the hospital to apply toward the acquisition of a painting or sculpture. Checks may be made paya b 1 e to McHenry Hospital- Country Art Fair, and sent to Mrs. Frank K. Johnson at 613 N. John Street, McHenry. Patrons will be contacted a few days before June 15 which is Patrons' Day.
