Former Residents I received a card from Alice Neimic, one of our former neighbors who lived at the village for many years. Alice, sister Carol, and their mother are spending their vacation in San Francisco, Calif. Meeting The monthly meeting will take place at the village hall on Aug. 1 so now is a good time to remind the villagers that we are looking forward to a good attendance. We are also looking forward to that big picnic on Aug. 14. It is the annual family affair which is a good way for the Villagers to get acquainted. We hope to see some new faces this time. Good News Carol LaBay received word that her boy friend, Ronny Krumsee, will be home on leave in early October for four heavenly weeks and then to Viet Nam. In Camp Margereta, Calif., he passed all tests and is now qualified for rifle shooting. Open House Chester and Ruby Crowley attended a house warming in Oak Park at Chester's daughter's house which they recently bought. Many beautiful gifts were presented and besides highballs and champagne punch there was oodles of food. Back To Camp Ray and Marge Nolan's boy, Jerry, has completed a leave which he spent at home. He is stationed at Ft. Polk, La. Marge says he had a very enjoyable time with his many friends and relatives. Marge's Dad and Mom are in Chicago visiting their son and family.
