A reception followed at the McHenry Country club, after which the newlyweds left on a two-week honeymoon trip to Mexico. Stoffel-Stills Vows Recited McHenry <Jirl Engaged To Weil A wedding of interest was solemnized in the Sacred Heart church of Coronado, Calif., on Saturday, July HO when Miss Dorothy Stoffel and Mr. Louis Stills exchanged nuptial vows. The bride is the, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Martin J. Stoffel of 3612 W. John street, Mc" Henry, and the groqm is the son of Mr. and .Airs. Thomas Stills of National City, Calif. Attending the couple were Mrs. Marie Harmon of Imperiol Beach, Calif., sister of the bride, and Donald Holland, of La Mesa, Calif., brother-in-law of the groom. A reception for seventy-five persons followed the ceremony. The newly weds are now enjoying a two-week wedding trip, during which they are visiting her parents in McHenry. They will return to California to make their home in San Diego. The bride graduated from McHenry high school" and has been residing in California for' three years, where she has been employed by the Bank of America. Her husband a graduate of Sweetwater, Calif., high school, is an employee of the Shell Oil Company. A belated wedding reception for the couple was held at the K. of C. hall in McHenry last Saturday evening, attended by about seventy friends and relatives. Audrey Osborne, sister of the bride and her matron of honor was soloist, singing "Because" and "The Lord's Prayer." Urns filled with yellow and white glads decorated the church for the wedding. Miss. Schoenewe was radient as she walked down the aisle wearing a white moire taffeta, empire styled dress with beaded front, the skirt extending into a chapel train. Completing her bridal altire was a lace mantilla veil. She carried a large white orchid with stephanotis and ivy. tied with white streamers, and wore as her only jewelry a diamond, heart shaped pendant, a gift of the groom. Audrey S. Osborne of Columbia, Ohio, acted as matron of honor for her sister and bridesmaids were Sonja Jean Phintz of Minneapolis, Minn., cousin of Ihe bride. Sherry A. Pinkston of Tinley Park, 111., and Karen Hartman of P^mhurst. They were attired in yellow taffeta, floor length dresses with ciffon lanels. Their headpieces were large beaded flowers with Veils of yellow net attached. The young ladies carried crescentshaped bouquets of yellow and white mums with green ivy and ribbon streamers. William Keller of Sycamore served his brother as best mm and groomsmen were Larry Linden of Miles, Jack Schoenholtz of Carpentersville and Jim Mihm of Rockford. Homer Bassett of McHenry and Richard Kirby of" Bettendorf, Iowa, were ushers. Mrs. Keller was attired in a mint green dress with yellow rosebud corsage. Following the ceremony, about 200 guests gathered in the dining room of the church for a reception. Later, the newlyweds left on a trip to the Black Hills, S. Dakota and upon their return they will reside in Crystal Lake. Both the bride and groom are graduates of Drake university, DesMoines, Iowa. The new Mrs. Keller is a science teacher at Crystal Lake and her husband is a pharmacist. The groom's parents entertained forty guests, including the bridal party and other guests, for dinner at the Stockman's club in Everly following the rehearsal Friday evening. Broadway, McHenry Shores at 1 p.m. Primarily it will be a business meeting with reports on flower show entries; the annual meeting of the Chicago Plant Flower and Fruit guild by the guild chairman, Mrs.. G. T. Snively, and a report by Mrs. George Johnson, chairman of the annual card party held on July 13. At the conclusion of the business meeting, Mrs. Wagner will give a program on the growing and culture of phlox.
