On Saturday evening we all attended a First Communion party for our cousin, Peter Humann, in Skokie. Our Margaret was a First Communicant at St. Patrick's and it was really a thrill to attend the" Mass. The children have been practicing for quite a while and really were beautiful. They gave all the responses and said the spoken parts of the Mass from memory and sounded just beautiful. All the girls in their pretty white dresses and veils and the boys in Their starcn smrts and dark ties looked so siweet and innocent. After the Mass they had their picture taken at the ;ilt.ar and then were dismissed to return home. Grandpa and Grandma Humann and ,Uncle Harold joined us later in the day for a turkey dinner in honor of our Communicant. It's very hard to believe that these same little people will be witches and goblins on the very next day. Shirley Koch's mom. Mrs. A. P. Meilahn, and sister. Hallie. and cousin.
