Truly, ours is a circle of friendships, united by our ideals." , Here in the United States, Girl Scout Week is celebrated each year during the week of March 12, the anniversary of the first troop meeting. On Girl Scout Sunday, March 10, you will find Girl Scouts in their uniforms, when they attend the church of their choice. At 2 o'clock that afternoon more than 500 Scouts and their mothers will attend a motherdaughter tea at the Johnsburg Community hall. Brdwnies, Juniors, Cadettes and Seniors will be present. Cadette Troops 295 and 41 have been planning this very special occasion for the last couple of months. The girls will join together to sing some of their favorite Scout songs. Peter Hetiz, magician will perform. Each day of the week means something special to Scouts. Monday is Homo making Day, Tuesday is Citizenship day, Health and Safety Day falls on Wednesday, on Thursday there is International Friendship Day and Friday is Arts Day. During the week, Scouts may be seen in school in their uniforms. The senior troop has been busy making posters for the store windows, telling about Girl Scout Week. Cadette troops are working on ? service projects, Juniors and earning badges and signs. Some troops are planning camping trips. Brownies are making crafts. Girl Scout Week is a time to take a good look at what the troop has done during the winter, to plan for the coming spring and summer months. It is also an excellent occasion for a special ceremony. The girls hope everyone will find time to visit the McHenry bank and see the Girl Scout exhibit. Traffic City police issued\a ticket to Lowell E. Halcom> of 1402 W.
