DISTRICT 15 D (STRICT 156 msm- JOHN M. COUGHLIN John M. Coughlin of 4303 Crystal Lake road seeks a seat on the board of District 15 for the first time. He has been a resident ofMcHenry for the past ten years. Mr. Coughlin is a graduate of Loyola university with the class of 1956 and is a member of the Loyola Alumni association. He is employed as a systems engineer for the Federal Reserve bank in Chicago. The candidate is a member of the American Legion and past president of St. Patrick's Holy Name association. Mr. Coughlin and his wife have eleven children, eight boys and three girls. ELIZABETH NOLAN Elizabeth Nolan resides at 3320 W. Fairway drive, Mc- Henry, with her husband, John and three sons, Jonathan in college, Scott, a senior in high school and Christopher, a freshman. Mrs. Nolan who has resided here for the past five and a half years, is a graduate of high school in Darien, Conn. In her work with the schools she has served fvith the PTA. Mrs. Nolan is a member of the board of the Mental Health center for McHenry county, the League of Women Voters, a member of the Community Methodist church, where she has served on the board and taught sixth grade Sunday school. She has also been a member of the McHenry hospital auxiliary and the Republican Women's club. . has lived in this community eighteen years. He attended high school and numerous trade schools. Mr. Guettler operates his own garage and service station. Previous school experience includes membership on the Blue Ribbon Transportation committee. He seeks his first term as board member. He is a church elder at the Zion Lutheran church, past president of McHenry Kiwanis club and also treasurer and board member, is chairman of the Kiwanis com munity blood bank and counselor for Zion Walther League. Mr. Guettler and his wife, Maria, have five daughters, Sally, a college student; Dawn, a junior, and Jean, a freshman in high school; Peggy, seventh grader in Junior high and Julie a fourth grader at Valley View. NEW FM STATION McHenry county now has a new FM radio station. The call letters issued by the FCC Washington D.C. are WSTK FM, WSTK FM received its final approval from FCC last week after several weeks of equipment tests by the station. . . Sales manager is Lew Belshaw Wonder Lake. Dtt. LESLIE W. KRIEGER Dr. Leslie W. Krieger, a twenty-nine year resident of the McHenry community, resides at 3420 W. Elm street, McHenry. _ He is a graduate of McHenry high school, Lake Forest college and Marquette university. Dr. Krieger is a practicing dentist in the city. He seeks his second term in office after serving for three years on the high school board. Dr„ Krieger is a member of the Kiwanis club, the Elks and the Moose lodge. Freund, like Mr. Claypool, seeks his first term on the board of School District 156. He is a resident of 3711 N. St. John's avenue, McHenry, and has lived his lifetime here. A graduate of McHenry high school, Mr. Freund is a carpenter by trade. He has served as a member of the Citizen's Advisory committee Civic affiliations include present treasurer and pastpresident of the Jo'insburg Community club, member of the McHenry Township Fire Department, Catholic order of Foresters and is a sports official of the Illinois High school association. He is married to the former Doris Smith and they have three children. i cfliPk fI CLINT CLAYPOOL Clint Claypool resides at 4212 W. Po.ica street, McHenry, with his wife, Margaret, and two sons Chuck, a freshman in MOHS and Roger in eighth grade, at the Junior high school. A thirteen-year resident of' the community, he has been employed for twenty-nineyears by Northern Illinois Gas Co. Mr. Claypool is a graduate, of Evanston Township high. school. Pastor of Faith Presbyterian church, McHenry, he has aB.S. degree inphysicalscience(chemistry major) from Kansas State university, received in 1948, and a B.D. in theology from Louisville Theological seminary, Ky., in 1955. He served on the Citizen's Advisory committee in 1955- 56 and has been a member of the District 15 board since February of 1966. He and his wife, Amolee, have three girls, Priscilla, 13, Marissa 11 and Nancy 8. mm DOROTHY. M. VICK Dorothy M. Vick of 5206 W. Parkview, McHenry, has resided in McHenry for eleven years. She has a B.S. degree in education from the University of Illinois. She taught four and one-half years, three and one-half at McHenry high school, has served on the District 15 Citizen's Advistft-y committee and is now completing her third year on the school board of that district. Presently, Mrs. Vick is serving on the executive board of directors of the Special Education district of McHenry county. She is a member of Faith Presbyterian church, a church school teacher, on the Christian Education committee and a League of Women Voters member. She and her husband, Jack Vick, have two children, a daughter, Linda, inthirdgrade, and a son, Paul, in first. Mr. Barwig brought the suit as the result of a one-car accident in February of 1966 in which his wife, Edith and daughter, Debohrah Ann, ware killed. The suit named the driver of the car, Marjorie L. Webber, McHenry and originally the suit had also included Bob Woodward Ford Sales of Woodstock as co-defendent, but charges against them wjre dropped the first day of the trial. QUARTERHORSE SHOW THIRD The Illinois State- Fair Quarterhorse show ranks third among the top 50 such shows in the nation, according to the American Quarterhorse association, Fair Manager Franklin Rust said. The Illinois State Fair ranks second in the halter division and ninth in the performance division and the only two divisions of quarterhorse shows. Quarterhorses are shown in the halter division for conformation and breeding, and in performance under saddle. Totaling all points of all entrants in quarterhorse shows resulted in the Illinois State Fair placing third nationally. Houston and Ft. Worth, in the heart of the quarterhorse country, placed ahead of the State Fair Show.
