The Washington Senators, not one of the American League contenders whipped National League teams in 11 exhibition games without a loss. When the Sox-Cub game was called on account of rain last Friday, this note was on our desk: An anonymous caller said- It DID NOT rain today in Evansville, Indiana and the White Sox would not play the Cubs. He promptly stole second and went to third as Tim Griedanus rolled out to first. Reinboldt then scampered home on a wild pitch and that was the beginning and end of any scoring in the game.
