DOLORES BRENN'AN 653-904-" MOURN DEATH OF FORMER RESIDENT ROY W. Our town was saddened on Thursday evening by the death of Hoy W. Dodd. The Dodds had been residents in the Ringwood area for many years, and had just moved to their new apartment last fall after selling their home here. Mr. Dodd was well liked by all, and was a good visitor to have call on you. Our sincere sympathy is extended to Harriet Dodd, Roy E. Dodd and the family. BIRTHDAY SURPRISE A camp-cook-out was planned by the Hopp girls in honor of Patty Brennan's fourteenth birthday for Friday night. After the group of girls arrived, a call for Pat brought her to the scene to show her the tent, etc. She was greeted by a large roar from chums waiting for her. She certainly was a pleasantly surprised girl! The girls cooked hot dogs, munched on chips and snacks and gabbed and maybe got around to doing a little sleeping. Attending Patty's party were Noreen Bauer, Pricilla Fossum, Jan Davidson, Cindy, Linda and Mary Beth Hopp and Cathy. GIRL SCOUT REPORT The meeting of the Ringwood Girl Scout Troop 402 was started at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday in the Ringwood school. The pledge to the flag and the promise were then said followed by the announcements. The Girl Scouts were busy making gifts to give to their mothers on Mother's Day. The girls made sewing kits, lipstick holders and decorator cats. Some badgework was done and some badges were also handed out to some of the girls. On Saturday, May 11, the troop went on a hike to Garn's for a cook-out over a campfire at the creek with Wanda Bruce, Claudia and Hank Garnaschaperones. Mr. Garn also demonstrated the art of knot tying and making up a bed roll. Co-leader Wanda was surprised at a birthday party at the - campout. Respectfully submitted, Gayle Garn 'v PARTY FOR CINDY Cindy Bruce, who turned fourteen on Tuesday, was honored at a birthday party at Resae Ackerman's home on Saturday afternoon.
