ROSS MACDONALD Congress Street Methodist church, Lafayette, Ind., was the setting for a beautiful wedding on Saturday, May 11, when Miss Margaret June Franklin of Battle Ground, Ind., exchanged nuptial vows with Mr. Ross Edward Macdonald of 616 Abbott St., Muncie, Ind., son of Mr. and Mrs. N.A. Macdonald, Jr., of 3904 West avenue, McHenry. Dr. E.E. Franklin of Battle Ground, Ind., a retired minister, and Dr. T.L. Stovall of Franklin, Ind., also a retired Methodist minister and the grandfather of the bride, officiated. Mrs. Clyde E. Feaster of Lafayette, Ind., was organist and accompanied the groom's sisters, Josephine and Jane Macdonald, who were soloists for the wedding. Pretty Miss Franklin wore a full length, white sheath of chantilly lace, the full length sleeves coming to bridal points. Her full length veil fell from a mantilla of matching chantilly lace. Miss Franklin's flowers were of crescent design, consisting of white carnations and detachable white rose corsage. Mrs. Thomas Fiore of Lafayette, Ind., served as honor attendant for her sister. Mr. and Mrs. John Thennes, Mrs. Emily Broeker, Mrs. Helen Heuser and Miss Laura Weber motored to Adams, Minn, last Thursday where they were called by the death of a relative, William Kiefer. They returned home on Sunday. Mrs. Michael Degen has returned from a week's auto trip to Caspian, Mich., where she visited in the home of her daughter, Mrs. Kenneth Flashberger and made the acquaintance of her first grandchild, Kenneth Flashberger, born on March 2. A reception followed at the Congress Street Methodist church hall. The bride is a graduate of Battle Ground high school and presently a junior at Ball State university, where she plans to complete her education in the fall.
