Hie bride was attended by Miss Sue Patterson of Crystal Lake as maid of honor, Gloria Porm and Shirley Pedersen of Crystal Lake and Karen Roby of McHenry as bridesmaids. Dennis Roby served his brother as best man and groomsmen were Bob Fergeson of McHenry, Chuck Lundgren and Pense Lundgren of DeKalb. Following a trip through the New England states, the newlyweds will reside at 15 N. Williams, Crystal Lake. The bride is a 1966 graduate of Crystal Lake high school and is an NCR operator for the Mathews company. Her husband graduated from McHenry high school and DeVry Institute of Technology. He is engaged in electronic repair work. Ruth Wilson Shower Guest Miss Ruth Wilson, who will become the bride of Robert Cepuder on Sept. 28 in Nativity Lutheran church, Wonder Lake was honored at a bridal shower Friday, Sept. 6, in Glen Ellyn at the home of Mrs. Donald Reagan. The wedding colors of moss green and white wereusedinthe decorating theme. Games were played and a buffet supper was served to twenty-five guests. Sunday, Sept. 8, a miscellaneous shower was held in Nativity social hall where the decorating theme was also green and white. A buffet luncheon was served. CCD Teachers To Organize At Parochial School An organization meeting will be held Wednesday, Sept. 25, at 8 p.m., Room 206, St. Mary's school for C.C.D. high school teachers and secretaries. All high school students will register and pay their fees on Wednesday, Oct. 2, at 8 p.m. in the school, and classes will resume each Wednesday evening thereafter. St. Mary's welcomes Father Anselnj Romb, O.F.M. Conv., from Loyola university, who returns to present a ten-week institute beginning Friday, Oct. 4, from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. with personal interviews following. He has helped St. Mary's in the past in getting the C.C.D. program organized. Father Romb will discuss with all interested persons the new turns in catechetics in general and recent developments in the Catholic church in particular, ft is regarded as a golden opportunity for every adult of the parish and the community. Diedrich of 4218 Ponca street, McHenry, became the bride of Mr. John L. Rindt, son of Mr. and Mrs. Karl Rindt of 114 Wander Way, Lake-in-the- Hllls. Fr. Rudden officiated at the 2 o'clock cermony. Miss Diedrich was lovely ina floor length A -line gown of chantilly lace, and crepe, designed with a round neckline, and long, tapered sleeves. The skirt featured a lace panel as a detachable train. A veil of silk illusion was secured to a petal lace headpiece trimmed with seed pearls. Attending the bride were Darlene Freund, Bonnie Freund and Corky Frett of McHenry and Carolyn Lenzen of Mundelein. They had floor length, A-line style dresses of willow green, featuring round necklines. Karl Rindt of Lake-in-the- Hills served his brother as best man and groomsmen were Gary Shepard and Dick Van Zieleghem of Lake-in-the-Hills and Donald Diedrich of McHenry. For her daughter's wedding, Mrs. Diedrich wore an aqua, A-line jacket dress with beaded collar. Mrs. Rindt was attired in a gold dress with matching jacket. Following a reception for 200 guests held at 5:30 clock at the Johnsburg Community club hall, the newlyweds left for a trip to southern California. They will make their home in Rolling Meadows, ni. Hie bride received her education in McHenry high school and the groom in Dundee high. He is engaged in electrical drafting. OES Chapter Will Observe Advance Night McHenry Chapter No. 547, Order of the Eastern Star, will hold Annual Advance Night on Tuesday, Sept. 24, at 8 p.m. at Acacia hall, McHenry. At this special meeting, the current associate matron, conductress and associate condustress of the local chapter advance for this one evening, to the offices that they will be holding next year. The other stations of the chapter will be filled by current associate matrons and other guests of local chapters. All members and guests are invited and encouraged to attend this special meeting. Refreshments will be served following the business. FEATURE SPEAKER St. John's Home and School Association is having its first meeting Monday, Sept. 23, at 8 p.m. in the multi-purpose room at the Johnsburg Junior high school. Msgr. Halpin of Maryville academy in DesPlaines will be the speaker. Refreshments will be served. Showers For Recent Bride Miss Teddy Ann McMannis of Crystal Lake, who became the bride of Kenneth Patrick Roby of McHenry earlier this month, was honored at several prenuptial showers. A kitchen shower was given by her tumor attendant, Sue Peterson, and a miscellaneous shower by the employees of the firm for which Miss McMannis works. Another miscellaneous shower was given by her ftiture aunts, Mrs. Jack Abbott, Mrs. Corbit Mellon and Mrs. Kenneth Lundgren of DeKalb and Chicago. A personal shower was given just prior to the wedding by the bride's mother. The rehearsal dinner was held at the Roby home in McHenry. The catered dinner was attended by the wedding party of twelve, the parents of the bridal couple and a few close friends. Senior Citizens Will See Square Dance Exhibition The program at the regular meeting of the McHenry Senior Citizens club on Monday evening Sept. 23, at the high school cafeteria, at 7:30 p.m. will include an interesting Square Dance exhibition by the Harvard Squares. Tickets for the men's Cub- Los Angeles baseball outing are going fast, so if you are interested in going to the game on Wednesday, Sept. 25th, call 385- 2675 and make your reservation. There is a limit of forty-one tickets to be sold. Price includes transportation andbox -seat. Plans for the potluck dinner in October will be discussed in detail. Persons 50 years or older who are interested in joining in on the fun of Senior Citizens are invited to the meeting on the twenty-third to get acquainted. Organize County Youth Symphony To provide the youth of McHenry county with the opportunity of playing in a symphony orchestra, a youth orchestra for McHenry county is now being organized under the direction of Vernon Hajeck. A twelve-member adult board has been organized to assist the orchestra. Membership is open to any string, brass, woodwind and percussion players in Grades 7 through 12. Auditions for the youth orchestra will be held at Lundahl Junior high school, Nash road, Crystal Lake, on two Saturday mornings, Sep*. 21 and 28, 8 a.m. to 12 noon. Richmond Club Luncheon Oct. 2 The Richmond Garden club will hold its annual salad luncheon and cardparty on Wednesday, Oct. 2, at the Hunter Country club, Rt. 173, Richmond. More than 650 women from the northern one-third of Illinois are expected to attend this event to take place at Marian Central Catholic high school, Woodstock, on Sunday, Oct. 6. Advance reservations are needed in order to plan for the luncheon which will be held as part of the day-long program. Reservations should be made with Mrs. Wenzei Roessler, 3210 Franklinville road, Woodstock, M. 60098, or Mrs. Kenneth Mar uncle, 15019 South street, Woodstock, 111. 60098. In addition, all diocesan and deanery members, together with representatives of parish and inter-parochial organizations are invited to a preconference dinner on Saturday night, Oct. 5. Registrations for this dinner should be made with Mrs. Albert Blascovich, 1024 Rose court, Woodstock. The Sunday program will start with registration at 8:30 a.m. Visitors will have a chance to view exhibits until 9:30 a.m. when the business meeting will be held for voting delegates and guests. Hie morning speaker will be Rev. Thomas J. Murphy, assistant director of the Chicago Arch-diocesan council of Catholic Women. He will give a report on the structure and functioning of the DCCW and the five commissions. An afternoon panel discussion will be part of the program, followed by die announcement of the Catholic Woman -of-the-year. Mass will be held at 11:30 sum. in the Marian gymnasium. Marie Gorgo was a special guest at the home of her granddaughter and family, Mr. and Mrs. George E. Motto of Elmwood Park, where a birthday party was celebrated in her honor. The family room was beautifully decorated with roses on each table. A delectable buffet was prepared for the guests.
