WEDDING feELLS RING OUT On Oct. 5, .the former Mary Jo Weingart became the bride of James O'Brien. The beautiful bride is the daughter of John and Fran Weingart. The young couple repeated their nuptial vows in St. John's church and a reception in their honor followed later in the community club hall. The new Mr. and Mrs. O'Brien will take up residence in McHenry upon their return from their honeymoon trip. Among the latest young couples to say "I Do" are the former Kathleen Powers and Harry Hettermann. They were married last Saturday in St. Patrick's church in McHenry and were honored with a reception in the community club hair also. The newlyweds plan a trip out west and will live in McHenry upon the completion of their trip. Our best of happy wishes to these two newly married couples and may they always be as happy as they are right now. SURPRISED ON ANNIVERSARY Mr. and Mrs. John Thelen of St. John's avenue were very pleasantly surprised last Sunday afternoon by their family, relatives, neighbors, and friends when they congregated at their home for a celebration of their forty-fifth wedding anniversary. This was a memorable day for the Thelens and will not be forgotten. A delicious buffet supper was prepared by the guests prior to the surprise. These •> boys spent last Saturday morning picking up "Goodwill" bags that were earlier delivered to McHenry area homes by Cub Scouts. This project left the boys with the good feeling that they had done something to help people less fortunate than they are themselves.
