Shay, Green Street Mall president, welcomed the employees. At the conclusion of Thomas' presentation, suggestions and questions were invited from the audience. DELIGHTED WITH FIRST GRANDCHILD Happiness reigns in the home of Walter and Millie Smith on Spring Grove road. Their daughter and husband, Marilyn and Jim Hester of McHenry, presented them with a darling granddaughter. The little one weighed a petite 5 lbs. 10 ozs. on arrival at the McHenry hospital on May 28. She will be called Jeanine Marie. This is the first grandchild for the Smiths, so needless to say they are simply elated. The paternal grandparents are the Dick Hesters of McHenry. Our most happy wishes to all. FAMILY TYPE j ENTERTAINING The entire Dehn clan was in attendance in the Richard Dehn home last Sunday afternoon to celebrate, though a few days early, the graduation of Carol Ann from Marian Central Catholic high school. A real family type gathering it was too, with everyone trying to talk at once and doing their best to get the last couple of months happenings into a few hours. Thoroughly enjoying the Dehns' hospitality were John Dehn and Ted Beeskow family of Chicago, the Bert Davis family of Glen Ellyn, Bill and Dorie Dehn of Skokie and our family. Bill May and son, Richard, along with Carol's brothers and sisters made the afternoon complete. One swell time we all had, believe me. WEEKEND WELCOMES FORESTER CONVENTION We bid welcome to all the Brother Foresters and their wives who will be in our town and in McHenry over next weekend. The Illinois Catholic Order of Foresters will holdtheir two day convention at which time the state delegates and their wives will divide their time between the happenings here and in McHenry. The convention will open with a Mass in McHenry* s city park on Saturday morning at 8 a.m. Later that afternoon, three o'clock to be exact, a special program is planned for the delegates wives in the community club hall here. Saturday evening will find the delegates and their wives enjoying dinner in the legion home in McHenry. A dance will follow at which time all foresters are invitedtoparticipate in the festivities.
